What I do

I help clients with anywhere from 1,000 to more than 100,000 employees implement the cloud-based Workday human capital management (HCM) program. I specialize in the Workday Recruiting Module, which helps companies efficiently manage the entire recruiting process, including open positions and candidate applications, while providing candidates and recruiters a modern, intuitive user experience.

 

My first Workday project was one of the most exciting I’ve worked on. Getting to know the program and Accenture’s methodology of delivering complex projects means that you learn a lot every single day. With this growing knowledge, I was quickly entrusted with growing responsibilities and was soon able to lead the client in my own area of expertise.

A day in my life

It is hard to describe a “typical” day-in-a-life at Accenture. I could be on-site at the client’s office helping them shape their future processes or leading workshops, or I might be working from home or from an Accenture office, testing Workday configurations and catching up on other tasks and responsibilities.

 

The versatile nature of my work is one of the things I like about Accenture; it makes the work week colorful and exciting. Accenture is also a great place to develop professionally, thanks to a wealth of available training and certification opportunities.

 

Working in a global company means that I get to work with people from all over the world, which I enjoy. In my spare time, I like to travel, catch a wave on my surfboard or play some music.

My advice

Want to do work like this? Then do it! As long as you are open-minded and interested in technology, learning new things and in developing yourself, you’ll succeed. The steep learning curve in this job naturally comes with a necessary willingness to learn, but it is also very rewarding.
