I have a cool job! I work with groups across the world to showcase the amazing things that Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Accenture can do together.
Each step along my Accenture career journey has been unique, but interesting. I started out working on application migration projects—specifically, migrating applications off the mainframe. I found my way to the cloud as part of one of Accenture’s very first cloud assessment projects, identifying applications that were a fit for the cloud. Eventually, I moved into cloud native development.
I worked on a mainframe migration project for two years and had the opportunity to work in a variety of roles, ranging from source code control to test lead. The technical challenges and the variety of work on that project made it exciting and challenging.

One of the things I like about my job is that every day is a new and different challenge. My current objective is to roll out some of our innovation programs across the globe, so every day I get to meet and work with new people in new locations. Every group I work with is slightly different and they’re all doing cool, innovative things; I’m always learning something new.
The people are my favorite thing about working for Accenture. The Accenture AWS Business Group has some of the best team members and leads I’ve had the opportunity to work with.
When I’m not working, you can probably find me hiking, reading or building puzzles. I also love to travel—I’ve been to all seven continents!

Now is an exciting time in the cloud space—new features and services are being released every day. I would strongly encourage anyone with a passion for technology and learning new things to learn more about the cloud, and perhaps even pursue a cloud certification.
