The Work:

The Strategic Initiatives Manager leads the planning, execution, and governance of strategic programs and initiatives that are critical to achieving the organization's business objectives. Working closely with senior leadership, the role drives alignment across multiple stakeholders, manages complex dependencies, tracks progress against strategic goals, and ensures successful delivery of transformational outcomes.

Strategic Program Leadership

  • Lead the delivery of strategic initiatives aligned to organizational priorities and business objectives.
  • Translate executive strategy into actionable workplans, milestones, deliverables, and measurable outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain program governance, reporting structures, and decision-making frameworks.
  • Identify risks, issues, and dependencies and develop mitigation plans.

Project and Portfolio Management

  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and workstreams across functions and business units.
  • Develop detailed project plans, resource requirements, budgets, and timelines.
  • Monitor project performance, ensuring initiatives remain on schedule and within scope.
  • Track benefits realization and business outcomes following implementation.

Executive Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with executive leaders to define objectives, success measures, and implementation approaches.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations, business cases, status reports, and recommendations.
  • Facilitate steering committee meetings and strategic reviews.
  • Drive decision-making by providing data-driven insights and options.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate activities across departments including Operations, Finance, Technology, Sales, Marketing, HR, Legal, and other business functions.
  • Build strong relationships and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Resolve conflicts and remove barriers to progress.
  • Foster collaboration and alignment across diverse teams.

Business Transformation and Change Management

  • Support organizational transformation initiatives and operating model changes.
  • Develop change management and communication plans to drive adoption.
  • Ensure stakeholders are engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor and address organizational impacts resulting from strategic initiatives.

Performance Measurement and Reporting

  • Define KPIs, success metrics, and project dashboards.
  • Analyze performance data and provide insights to leadership.
  • Maintain accurate reporting on initiative status, risks, financials, and outcomes.
  • Recommend corrective actions when initiatives deviate from objectives.

Here’s What You Need:

  • 5–10+ years of project, program, strategy, consulting, transformation, or operational leadership experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholder groups, functions, or geographies.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience partnering with senior leaders and executive stakeholders to drive business objectives and strategic initiatives.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting organizational change, business transformation, or operating model initiatives within complex organizations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant field of study or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience.

Bonus Points If:

  • Experience in a consulting or professional services environment.
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with agile, hybrid, or lean methodologies.
  • Experience supporting business transformation or change management initiatives.


Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
