Job Summary:
As an Industry 4.0 Consultant, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders (e.g., COOs, VPs of Manufacturing, Plant Managers). Your primary focus will be on understanding business challenges, identifying opportunities for improvement, and designing roadmaps for digital adoption. You will bridge the gap between business strategy and technology execution, ensuring that investments in Industry 4.0 technologies deliver measurable ROI.
Roles & Responsibilities:
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Industry 4.0 senior leader to guide our clients through their digital transformation journeys, from initial strategy to successful implementation and value realization
Strategy & Assessment:- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' current manufacturing operations, technology landscape, and maturity level regarding Industry 4.0.
- Identify and prioritize use cases (e.g., predictive maintenance, digital quality management, energy optimization) that deliver the highest business value.
- Develop compelling business cases, including cost-benefit analysis, ROI calculations, and total cost of ownership (TCO) models.
- Create strategic roadmaps and implementation plans for digital transformation initiatives.
- Client Advisory & Workshop Facilitation:
- Lead client workshops and interviews to gather requirements, uncover pain points, and build consensus around a digital vision.
- Advise C-level and operational leaders on Industry 4.0 trends, best practices, and organizational change management.
- Translate business objectives into clear functional and technical requirements for solution architects and development teams.
- Solution Design & Governance:
- Collaborate with technical teams (e.g., Solution Architects, Data Scientists) to design end-to-end solutions that address client needs.
- Evaluate and recommend technology vendors, platforms, and partners.
- Oversee project execution to ensure solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with the strategic vision.
- Establish KPIs and metrics to track the success and impact of implemented solutions.
- Change Management & Value Realization:
- Develop strategies to manage the organizational and cultural changes associated with new technologies and processes.
- Lead training sessions and create user adoption programs for client teams.
- Track value capture and ensure promised benefits are realized post-implementation
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a strong plus.
- 10+ years of experience in management consulting, manufacturing operations, industrial engineering, or technology advisory, with a focus on digital transformation.
- Proven experience leading or playing a key role in Industry 4.0 projects (e.g., IoT implementation, manufacturing analytics, process digitalization).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., assembly, machining, processing) and core operational concepts (OEE, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma).
- Functional knowledge of key Industry 4.0 technologies: IoT/IIoT, AI/ML, Data Analytics, Cloud Platforms, and Automation.
- Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills with experience building business cases.
- Outstanding presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills; comfortable presenting to executive audiences.
- Willingness to travel significantly (e.g., 50-75%) to client sites).
Additional Information:
- Direct experience working on a factory floor or in an operational role within manufacturing.
- Certifications in project management (PMP), lean six sigma (Green/Black Belt).
- Familiarity with specific manufacturing software (e.g., SAP, Siemens, MES platforms) and IoT ecosystems.
- Experience in a specific vertical (e.g., Automotive, Pharma, Consumer Packaged Goods, Industrial Equipment, Energy & Chemicals)
Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience is required
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a strong plus
