Job Description: Wintel Administrator
Key Responsibilities
1. Install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022 environments.
2. Administer and maintain VMware vSphere/ESXi infrastructure, including host provisioning, virtual machine lifecycle management, resource allocation, HA/DRS, vMotion, snapshots, datastore management, performance optimization, and infrastructure health monitoring.
3. Perform VMware host patching, upgrades, troubleshooting while ensuring high availability and minimal service disruption.
4. Administer Microsoft SCCM (Configuration Manager) for operating system deployment, software distribution, patch management, and endpoint administration.
5. Support and administer Dell PowerFlex infrastructure, including monitoring, lifecycle management, upgrades, troubleshooting, and issue resolution across both compute and storage components of the platform.
6. Perform routine server administration tasks such as monitoring, patching, security hardening, backup validation, health checks, and performance tuning.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve Windows, VMware, PowerFlex, and infrastructure-related incidents while meeting defined SLA targets.
8. Collaborate with infrastructure, storage, networking, and application teams to implement changes, support projects, and maintain platform stability.
9. Create and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and operational runbooks.
Required Skills
10. Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022 administration.
11. Strong experience administering VMware vSphere/ESXi, including HA, DRS, vMotion, snapshots, host maintenance, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
12. Experience with Microsoft SCCM (Configuration Manager) for endpoint and patch management.
13. Working knowledge of Dell PowerFlex infrastructure, including platform administration, upgrades, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
14. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
15. Experience working in enterprise production environments following ITIL processes (Incident, Change, and Problem Management).
