Summary:
As an Analytics Practitioner, a typical day involves engaging deeply with data to uncover meaningful business insights through predictive statistical modeling. The role requires applying various analytical tools and techniques to interpret client, market, and performance data, thereby enhancing decision-making processes. This position demands a thoughtful approach to analyzing complex datasets and translating findings into actionable strategies that support business objectives and drive continuous improvement across projects and teams.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the coordination of cross-functional efforts to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
- Mentor and support junior team members to foster professional growth and skill development.
- Continuously evaluate and improve team workflows and processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform, Microsoft Azure Data Services, GitLab CI/CD.
- Hands-on with Databricks (Delta Lake concepts, Unity Catalog, Databricks SQL ability to read/understand notebooks & job pipelines).
- Strong knowledge of Azure data services: ADLS, ADF, Synapse/Databricks SQL, Key Vault, Purview familiarity with CI/CD (Azure DevOps).
- Proficiency in SQL (analytical queries, profiling), and comfort collaborating on data transformations (Spark/ETL).
- Experience defining data product requirements: data contracts, SLOs/SLAs, lineage, retention, compliance.
- Demonstrated product discovery and stakeholder facilitation clear documentation (user stories, process maps, sequence diagrams).
- Solid understanding of data warehousing/lakehouse patterns, dimensional modeling, and semantic modeling for BI.
- Strong communication and storytelling ability to align executives and engineering around business value.
- Strong expertise in data integration, transformation, and pipeline development within cloud environments.
- Experience in managing and optimizing large-scale data analytics workflows and distributed computing.
- Ability to design and implement scalable data models and analytical solutions to support business needs.
- Familiarity with version control systems and continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines to maintain code quality and streamline delivery.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Databricks Unified Data Analytics Platform.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
