Many companies are dedicated to creating a culture of equality.

But few can say they are ranked No. 1 for workplace inclusion and diversity—two years running.

It takes a serious commitment—not just talk, but lots of action—from everyone in an organization to be recognized as the top company in any corporate ranking.

The Refinitiv Diversity & Inclusion Index identifies the top 100 publicly traded companies with the most diverse and inclusive workplaces. Previously produced by Thomson Reuters, the Index is designed to transparently and objectively measure the relative performance of companies, based on Refinitiv’s environmental, social and governance data.

We're even using powerful analytics to unlock insights to help the world's leading companies advance inclusion and diversity

So, how do we live and breathe a culture of equality?

Four reasons we’re ranked No. 1:

  1. Our diverse board of directors. Represented by people from six countries across four continents, 42 percent of whom are women, our board of directors is diverse in terms of its geographic and gender representation.
  2. Commitment to workplace equality. We’re well on our way to achieving our goal of achieving a gender-balanced workforce by 2025. Our Pride Ally program has more than 118,000 members, while our global Disability Champions network has 27,000 members.
  3. Talent development. We invested US$973 million in continuous learning and professional development last year alone. We know it’s vital to keep our people skilled for the careers of the future, especially in key areas such as cloud, artificial intelligence and robotics.
  4. Convening a global dialogue. We publish annual thought leadership to help advance the conversation around workplace equality. This year, our Getting to Equal report revealed how a workplace culture of equality is a powerful multiplier of innovation and growth, and our Disability Inclusion Advantage research linked financial performance with companies providing an inclusive culture for persons with disabilities.
