AI ERP Lead – ERP Business Group

Role Purpose

The AI ERP Lead is a management role within the ERP Business Group, responsible for shaping, positioning, and scaling AI-enabled ERP transformation for clients. The role is cross ERP and not one technology specific. The role is to leverage your AI ERP knowledge and experience to find opportunities for AI to drive value for Accenture’s clients.

This role bridges enterprise ERP expertise with ERP Business AI and Embedded AI capabilities, enabling clients to move beyond traditional ERP implementations toward AI-driven, insight‑led, and agent‑enabled business outcomes.

The role requires an individual who can engage comfortably with C‑suite and ExCo stakeholders, lead AI capability development within ERP, and drive commercially meaningful opportunities across core ERP programs.

The role balances strategic advisory, solution leadership, and talent stewardship, ensuring that data and AI investments translate into measurable business outcomes.

At ML05/ML06 level, the role is accountable for portfolio‑level delivery quality, client trust, capability growth, and people leadership, rather than individual contribution alone.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Engagement & Thought Leadership

• Act as a trusted advisor to C‑suite, CFO, COO, CIO, and CHRO stakeholders on how AI embedded within ERP can unlock business value.
• Lead executive conversations on:
  • ERP Embedded AI
    • Awareness of the key technologies of the ERP AI ecosystem (Joule, AWS, Google, Azure, Anthropic ,Open AI etc)
    • Deep understanding in a subset of these technologies.
  • Business Processes and AI Driven Use Cases
    • Awareness of the business processes that ERP systems typically enable. (Finance, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Human Resources etc)
    • Deep understanding of a Subset.
  • Moving from “implementation” to continuous AI‑enabled value realization
  • Translate complex technical concepts into executive level insights and recommendations
• Represent Accenture ERP Business AI points of view in:
  • Executive briefings
  • Orals and proposal defenses
  • Industry forums and ERP events

2. Opportunity Shaping & Growth

• Own and drive AI‑led ERP opportunities, ensuring AI is designed into ERP transformations, not bolted on.
• Lead identification, qualification, and shaping of:
  • ERP Business AI use cases
  • Embedded AI adoption roadmaps
  • Custom AI and agent development leveraging ERP AI technologies (eg SAP BTP, AI Foundation, and Joule extensibility, Co Pilot)
• Partner closely with:
  • ERP Global Alliance and Product teams (SAP , Microsoft, Oracle, Google , AWS) to understand their offering as applicable to ERP systems.
  • Accenture Data & AI, Industry X, and Cloud teams
• Drive measurable pipeline growth linked directly to ERP programs and ERP transformations

3. ERP Business AI Delivery Oversight

• Provide senior oversight and direction across AI‑enabled ERP programs to ensure:
  • Responsible, secure, and scalable AI adoption
  • Alignment with ERP product roadmap and Accenture Method One / Reinvention implementation methodologies
• Ensure AI initiatives are:
  • Business‑led and use‑case driven
  • Embedded into ERP processes and operating models
  • Measurable in terms of value realization (productivity, accuracy, decision latency, cost)

4. Capability & Talent Leadership

• Build and lead ERP Business AI capability within the ERP Business Group, including:
  • Identifying critical skills (AI architecture, functional AI design, prompt engineering, agent orchestration)
  • Mentoring practitioners and next‑generation AI ERP leaders
• Shape repeatable assets, accelerators, and client offerings aligned to Industry‑specific ERP AI solutions

5. Governance, Ethics & Responsible AI

• Ensure all ERP AI solutions adhere to:
  • Accenture Responsible AI principles
  • ERP’s built‑in ethics, security, and compliance frameworks
• Act as a senior escalation point for AI risk, governance, and regulatory concerns tied to ERP programs

Required Experience & Profile

Core Experience

• 7+ years’ experience across ERP implementations and transformations
• Understanding of high level ERP process domains (Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Procurement, Asset Management) with a deep understanding in one or two.
• Proven experience in enterprise data and AI delivery within consulting or large organisations
• Demonstrated success engaging senior client stakeholders and influencing technology strategy

AI & Innovation Experience

• Demonstrated experience enabling or delivering:
  • ERP Embedded AI
  • ERP and Business AI scenarios
  • AI‑enabled process automation and decision intelligence
  • Agent‑based architectures and AI orchestration concepts
  • Oversee solution architecture across data ingestion, storage, analytics, AI/ML, integration, and consumption layers

• Awareness of the cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP,SAP )

Leadership & Commercial Skills

• Demonstrated success in:  
  • Opportunity shaping and deal closure
  • Leading distributed, multi‑disciplinary teams
  • Building new capabilities and scaling practices

• Comfortable operating at the intersection of:
  • Business transformation
  • Technology strategy
  • AI innovation

• Own or contribute to delivery financials, including revenue, margin, and forecast accuracy
• Shape commercial models, estimates, and delivery approaches to balance value, risk, and profitability

People & Capability Leadership

• Build, lead, and mentor high‑performing data, analytics, and AI teams across locations
• Coach architects, engineers, data scientists, and managers to develop next‑generation capabilities
