Summary:
As an L&P Test Automation Architect, you will play a crucial role in the next phase of our Agile Transformation, aimed at providing top-tier services to our customers and enhancing our system landscape. As a member of our Testing Tools Team, you will be responsible for developing and enabling our internal test automation platform. Your focus will be on creating solutions that empower our agile delivery teams to produce efficient, high-quality test automation scripts for load and performance testing. Additionally, you will support, coach, and train test engineers in the effective use of test automation tools and processes in their daily work.
Roles & Responsibilities:
-Develop and enhance the existing open-source-based L&P framework, focusing on core components such as JMeter, Gatling, Grafana, Dynatrace, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Continuously improve the current load and performance (LP) framework by integrating AI-based solutions to optimize testing efficiency and accuracy.
- Evaluate and incorporate new tools and technologies to keep the framework up-to-date and effective.
- Train and coach test automation engineers on best practices for load and performance test automation.
- Develop training materials and conduct workshops to ensure team members are proficient with the tools and methodologies.
- Consult with agile development teams to identify and select the best load and performance testing solutions tailored to their specific needs.
- Provide hands-on support to ensure successful implementation and integration of LP solutions within the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and DevOps, to ensure cohesive and efficient testing processes.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in load and performance testing.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Expertise in setting up and maintaining Load&Performance frameworks and CI/CD pipelines for software development teams.
- Ability to design scalable and efficient test automation solutions tailored to specific project needs.
- Deep understanding of modern agile testing methodologies, processes, and strategies.
Skilled in integrating test frameworks seamlessly into existing software development environments. Ability to collaborate with development and operations team.
- Comprehensive understanding of software development and delivery processes, including DevOps practices.
- Strong Java development skills and excellent SQL knowledge. Proficiency with test automation tools such as JMeter and Gatling (mandatory). Experience with other programming and scripting languages to provide automation and self-service tooling.
- In-depth understanding of managing non-functional requirements (NFRs) within an agile context. Ability to define, document, and validate NFRs to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Knowledge of various software development and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) to automate processes and create self-service tools. Ability to write and maintain scripts for testing, monitoring, and deployment automation.
- Good understanding of container technologies, including Docker, and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of observability tools and practices, including metrics collection, structured logging, and distributed tracing.
- Experience with tools like Grafana and Dynatrace to monitor and analyze system performance.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to identify, analyze, and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and staying updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in load and performance testing. Additional competence Description 5+ years of experience in practicing the relevant skills. Passion for agile, lean and DevOps mindset
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Micro Focus LoadRunner.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
