Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves designing, developing, and configuring software systems tailored to meet specific project requirements or stages within the product lifecycle. This role requires applying a comprehensive understanding of various technologies, methodologies, and tools to effectively support clients and project teams. Collaboration with diverse stakeholders and continuous adaptation to evolving project needs are integral parts of the daily routine, ensuring that software solutions align with business objectives and deliver optimal performance.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Overall Lead for the BW Delivery across the Streams for Pilot-2A / Wave-1 release.
- Direct, Monitor and Control the activities of the Offshore team members during Design, BW Build and Test Phases, Cutover
- Delegate / appoint members for Adhoc Tasks – eg. Cutover Lead, Hypercare Lead, BW representative for QA Reviewers,
- Coordinate regularly through meetings, email exchanges with Project Management (and Program Management with support from Data & Analytics & AI Program lead) and Data ambassadors
- Manage Risks impacting BW Project internally and indirectly Program level using Jira, and in coordination with the Tetra Pak BW Project Manager
- Track Scope and Deliverables Completion & Closure using Jira and Tetra Pak s IT Toolbox
- Report status weekly to the Client Project Lead on the activities, as well as Accenture internal Reporting
- Change Management: Coordinate planning / replanning and re-estimation for CRs, engaging with Program leads, Accenture Financial Services team and individual BW Stream Leads
- Peer Review the work by BW Stream Leads
- Stakeholder and Communication activities with business stakeholders and NCSP program taking support of Tetra Pak counterparts
Technical Skills
- Holistic understanding of
o SAP BW Data and HANA View modelling activities
o BW Relevant ABAP Programming skills
o SAP S/4HANA Standard Extractors
o CDS views for Data-extraction
- Hands on Expertise in the above is a bonus
Functional Skills:
Must have:
- Strong Project Management Skills applied to SAP BW Projects and SAP BW Projects which are part of multi-year SAP S/4HANA implementations (Greenfield)
- Precise communication, able to adapt to both Business and Technical needs - Written and spoken
- Structured approach to assess and work with complex and problems supported by limited information
- Good collaboration skills to solve problems that require support or involvement of other BW streams and other functional teams
- Working with Jira
- Preparing slides for Presentations to cover adhoc topics
Nice to have:
- Functional understanding of how typical SAP work-flows – such as Order to Cash, Planning to Fulfill, Supply to Procure will be useful to understand the purpose of the BW reports
- Curious mindset and attention to detail
- Experience with SOLMAN (for Test Management)
