Summary:
Will be working in shifts in rotation and providing 24x7 monitoring of applications and data workflows.
As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for transforming testing into a continuous and efficient end-to-end quality engineering function. Your typical day will involve utilizing quality processes, tools, and methodologies to significantly enhance control, accuracy, and integrity in testing. You will also focus on evolving predictive and intelligent testing approaches, leveraging automation and innovative testing products and solutions to improve overall quality outcomes.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform L1 and L2 support of investment operation and investment trading applications.
- Detect and triage failures, analyze problems, implement solutions, and enhance system performance.
- Perform initial troubleshooting and apply defined remedial actions based on SOPs.
- Analyze the root cause of recurring or complex issues and recommend long-term fixes or improvements.
- Communicate effectively with relevant teams—developers, platform, and business users—regarding job status, delays, and incidents.
- Escalate issues to Level 2/Level 3 support as per the escalation matrix when beyond the scope of L1/L2 handling.
- Document incidents and maintain detailed logs of investigations, resolutions, and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve monitoring, alerting, and error-handling processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of SOPs and runbooks.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must-Have Skills: Proficiency in investment banking and trading platforms.
- Experience in handling L1 and L2 requests for Investment Operation and Trading applications preferred in CRIMS or any trading platform like Murex, Calypso, Heliograph, etc.
- Good to have experience in portfolio management, accounting, order management systems, and platforms.
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve technical and functional issues effectively.
- Experience with application monitoring tools to ensure system performance.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in investment banking.
- This position is based at our Mumbai office.
- A 15-year full-time education is required.
