Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, you will lead the effort to design, build, and configure applications, acting as the primary point of contact. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to ensure that project requirements are met, facilitating discussions to address challenges, and guiding your team in implementing effective solutions. You will also engage in strategic planning sessions to align project goals with organizational objectives, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and involved throughout the development process. Your role will require a balance of technical expertise and interpersonal skills to foster a productive work environment and drive project success.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME.
- Collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions to enhance team capabilities.
- Monitor project progress and adjust strategies as necessary to meet deadlines.
Professional & Technical Skills:
-Expertise in Google Dataflow for building ETL pipelines.
-Hands-on experience with GCP services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, IAM).
-Proficiency in Python / SQL for application development and scripting.
-Experience with Vertex AI for deploying and managing ML models.
-Understanding of cloud architecture, networking, and security best practices.
-Version control experience (GitHub or similar)
-Experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments
-Experience building Flask-based microservices to implement business-rule engines, decision APIs, and lightweight application logic.
-Familiarity with containerization and deploying services using Cloud Run / GKE.
-Strong understanding of data modelling, warehouse layers, and performance optimization in BigQuery
-Knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau)
-Version control mastery using GitHub (branching, PRs, code reviews, repository management).
-Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Cloud Build, deployment).

- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Google BigQuery.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
