Summary:
We are seeking a Data Engineer with 5+ years of experience and expertise in Snowflake and dbt to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines. This role focuses on view creation, data transformation, and DataOps practices like CI/CD, testing, and deployment. Python scripting knowledge is a plus but not mandatory.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and manage Snowflake views and data models.
Build and maintain dbt projects, including tests, macros, and documentation.
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments.
Optimize query performance and manage compute resources in Snowflake.
Ensure data quality and integrity across pipelines and transformations.
Collaborate with teams to deliver trusted, analytics-ready data.
Apply DataOps best practices in development and delivery.

Must-Have Skills
5+ years hands-on experience with Snowflake – data modeling, tuning, security, and cost optimization.
Advanced dbt expertise – models, macros, tests, and documentation.
Proficiency with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and collaborative development workflows.
Strong SQL for complex transformations and query optimization.
Strong collaboration and communication skills with data and business teams.

Good-to-Have Skills
Python scripting for automation and tooling.
Exposure to Airflow or other orchestration tools.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).
Experience with Talend, Monte Carlo, Collibra, or Immuta for data governance or quality.

Technical Experience
5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
Expertise in Snowflake, including view lifecycle management and optimization.
Deep experience with dbt (Core or Cloud) for scalable data transformations.
Strong SQL skills with a focus on performance and maintainability.
Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and collaborative development.
Familiarity with pipeline orchestration and environment management.
Python scripting experience is a plus, not mandatory.
Exposure to cloud infrastructure and DevOps tooling is beneficial.

Professional Experience:
Ability to build from good relationships with clients/operational managers and colleagues
Outstanding all-round communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
Good Team management skills and work closely with other peers

Additional Information:
The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Snowflake and dbt.
This position is based at our Bengaluru/Pune office.
A 15 years full time education is required.
