Summary:
As an Workday Advanced Compensation Specialist you will design, build, and configure solutions specifically within the Workday Advanced Compensation module to meet complex business requirements. A typical day involves collaborating with HR and Finance teams to understand their compensation needs (e.g., merit, bonus, and stock plans), developing and testing solutions that align with global compensation strategies, and ensuring that compensation applications function seamlessly to enhance operational efficiency. You will also serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), engaging in high-level problem-solving and providing guidance and support to your team while continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and innovation in compensation application development.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Expected to be a Workday Advanced Compensation SME, collaborating with and managing the team to perform specialized configuration and support tasks.
Responsible for design and technical decisions related to Workday Advanced Compensation implementation and ongoing maintenance.
Engage with multiple teams (e.g., HRIS, Payroll, Benefits) and contribute to key cross-functional decisions impacting compensation data and processes.
Provide solutions to complex compensation-related problems for their immediate team and across multiple functional teams.
Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions focused on Advanced Compensation concepts (e.g., matrix design, eligibility rules, plan setup) to enhance team capabilities.
Monitor project progress for compensation cycles (e.g., annual reviews) and ensure alignment with business goals and regulatory compliance.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Must Have Skills:
Proficiency in Workday Advanced Compensation.
Strong understanding of Workday compensation components, including compensation plans, compensation packages, eligibility rules, allowance plans, and merit/bonus/stock plans.
Experience with configuration and customization of Advanced Compensation business processes and security.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues related to compensation processing and calculation effectively.
Familiarity with integration processes and data management within Workday, especially those related to Workday Payroll and Workday Report Writer.
Additional Information:
The candidate should have a minimum of 7.5 years of experience in Workday HCM, with a strong focus on Advanced Compensation.
A 15 year full time education is required.
