This role is an opportunity to be a part of the GEMS (Global Events Management & Services) team. The GEMS team is seeking a technology professional with strong expertise in Event Management as well as in Audio/Video Technology. The candidate should have the ability to quickly resolve both mobile & PC compliance issues. An ideal candidate would possess professional customer service communication skills with an aptitude to remain calm under pressure. The candidate must be resourceful and be able to anticipate needs and solutions. The person should also be willing and able to travel to offsite events/meetings.
Job Description:
Join the GEMS (Global Events Management & Services) team as a Technology Specialist, where you will leverage your expertise in Audio/Video Technology and PC repair. We are looking for a professional with exceptional customer service communication skills, capable of maintaining composure under pressure. The ideal candidate will be resourceful, proactive, and able to anticipate needs and provide solutions. This role requires the willingness and ability to travel to offsite events and meetings.
Role Responsibilities:
Support of high profiled events including offsite and virtual (ie. Microsoft TLE).
Proactive and high level of communication skills both verbally and written.
Audio/Video production
Video editing
Management & Tracking of Event Request/Project management
Demonstrated capacity for effective time management with minimal supervision.
Resolve mobile & workstation compliance issues thoroughly.
Provide GMC leadership support in the office.
Ability and willingness to travel for offsite event/meeting support.
The office will demand higher levels of service, meaning faster response times, proactive daily maintenance of an increased inventory of digital technology. The various use cases for this office will require broader coordination with support teams for the epic events that continue to be supported by this team.

Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 25% to 50% depending on business need and client requirements.
Onsite 100% in the NYC office is required for this role.
Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 year of experience with Workstation hardware and software support

Minimum of 1 year of experience with IT Service & AV with end-to-end planning

Minimum of 1 year of experience with Special Events, Trade Shows & Industry Workshop

High School Diploma/GED
