Role Overview

We are seeking a new talent to join the team where you will have the opportunity to contribute to large‑scale transformation initiatives within enterprise banking platforms. The client is a leading financial services organisation, delivering innovative and scalable technology solutions across digital and core banking systems in a highly regulated environment.

As a Scaled Agile Delivery Manager, you will support end‑to‑end delivery across Tribes and Domains, working closely with Tribe Leads and Tribe Tech Leads. You will contribute to delivery coordination, planning, and execution, while also supporting Tribe activation activities and the setup of effective delivery standards as the organisation transitions to a scaled agile model.

You will operate in hybrid delivery environments, where traditional delivery approaches and scaled agile delivery coexist, and help put in place practical interim mechanisms to ensure continuity, control, and compliance.

The role may support delivery across Customer Domains, Functional Domains, Platform Domains, or Platform Centres of Expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery Support & Coordination
    • Support Tribe Leads and Tribe Tech Leads in delivering agreed outcomes across Tribes and Domains
    • Contribute to delivery planning, coordination, and tracking across multiple squads
    • Support dependency, risk, and issue management across squads, domains, and third parties
    • Assist delivery execution in hybrid environments combining traditional and incremental delivery approaches
    • Maintain delivery trackers, status updates, and clear escalation of risks and blockers
  • Tribe Leadership & Product Coordination
    • Support Tribe Leadership and Product Ownership with estimation and sizing exercises
    • Assist with delivery sequencing, capacity views, and dependency identification
    • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of rolling‑wave Tribe roadmaps
    • Help ensure plans reflect real delivery constraints, technology dependencies, and regulatory considerations
  • Quarterly Planning & Execution Support
    • Support delivery through Quarterly Planning Process (QPP) cycles
    • Assist Tribes and Domains during Domain Quarterly Planning and Enterprise Quarterly Planning
    • Help translate quarterly priorities into clear delivery objectives for squads
    • Track progress against quarterly commitments and highlight emerging delivery risks and trade‑offs
  • Big Room Planning (BRP) Support
    • Support preparation and coordination of Big Room Planning sessions
    • Assist with scope, backlog readiness, dependency mapping, capacity inputs, and risk capture
    • Support facilitation activities during large‑scale planning events
    • Help consolidate planning outputs into delivery plans, actions, and follow‑ups
  • Tribe Activation & Delivery Standards
    • Support Tribe activation activities, including the setup of initial delivery standards and ways of working
    • Help establish core delivery ceremonies and artefacts as Tribes mobilise or mature
    • Support adoption of scaled agile practices aligned to banking governance and controls
    • Act as a point of support for squads adapting to new delivery expectations
  • Delivery Artefacts & Compliance
    • Support preparation and maintenance of delivery artefacts, including Tribe delivery memos, plans, and roadmaps
    • Assist with dependency logs, risk logs, and Delivery Excellence artefacts
    • Ensure delivery artefacts are kept current and suitable for governance, audit, and compliance reviews
    • Support preparation of materials for governance forums and delivery reviews

Required Experience & Skills

  • Strong experience owning delivery in banking or financial services environments
  • Proven track record leading delivery across hybrid and scaled agile models
  • Demonstrable experience coaching teams and leaders through agile transformation in regulated contexts
  • Deep understanding of dependency management, risk, and governance at scale
  • Experience leading quarterly planning cycles and large‑scale delivery increments
  • Strong facilitation skills, including Big Room Planning and senior stakeholder sessions
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity while maintaining control and delivery discipline

Desirable Experience

  • Experience transitioning from project‑based funding to persistent squads or tribe models
  • Exposure to core banking platforms, digital channels, or large enterprise technology estates
  • Use of delivery and flow metrics to improve predictability and decision‑making
