Position Title: Quality Conformance Consultant

We are Industry X:

We embed innovation, intelligence and sustainability in the way the world makes things and the things it makes. Industry X enables leaders to act quickly and confidently as they pivot to the future. We define Industry X as digital reinvention of manufacturing and technical domains and believe that smart, sustainable, connected digital products and assets are about to create hyper-personalized industrial experiences, completely new levels of operational efficiency, transparency and traceability, tangible impact on sustainability and brand-new sources of revenue growth. Known for our ability to execute at speed, we help clients determine clear, actionable paths to competitive agility by bringing them new thinking on business and technology.

Main Purpose Of The Role

Ensure product and process compliance during operational phases, drive the effectiveness of quality activities directly connected to manufacturing, and lead in-depth root cause analysis for non-conformance issues. This role is critical in maintaining quality standards, ensuring customer satisfaction, and meeting regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee compliance of products and processes with internal, regulatory, and customer requirements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for non-conformities and lead corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA).
  • Support shop-floor teams to resolve quality issues in real-time (on-site investigations and workshops).
  • Coordinate and manage audits (internal & external), monitor progress plans, and ensure timely closure of findings.
  • Participate in quality reviews and prepare reports for customers and authorities.
  • Implement quality tools and methodologies (8D, FMEA, Ishikawa, QRQC) to reinforce process robustness.
  • Train and raise awareness among staff on quality standards and best practices

Here’s What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in quality, industrial, engineering physics, computer science, technical discipline or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3–5 years in an industrial environment (aerospace, automotive, or similar).
  • Flexible to travel to Mirabel 3 times a week
  • Proven track record in non-conformance management and RCA techniques.
  • Knowledge of quality standards and certifications (e.g., AS9100, EN9100, ISO standards).
  • Strong expertise in root cause analysis tools (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, Pareto).
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and quality documentation systems.
  • Excellent communication skills in French (both oral & written) and ability to simplify technical matters.
  • Strong leadership with the ability to engage cross-functional teams.
  • Hands-on mindset, highly reactive, pragmatic with strong analytical skills.
  • Diplomacy and customer-facing assurance.
  • Bilingual in French and English
  • English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with English-speaking stakeholders across Canada. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • High degree of autonomy and prioritization skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment.
  • Occasional mobility to other sites for audits or investigations.
