The Regional Protective Services (RPS) function is a core component of GP&S, with team members based across multiple global regions.
Role Summary
The Behavioural Threat Manager (EMEA) serves as GP&S’s primary responder for behavioural threat cases and related emergencies across the EMEA region. Reporting into the RPS EMEA Associate Director, this role provides leadership, expertise, and operational oversight for cases involving threats to self or others, missing persons, coercive behaviour, and serious interpersonal safety concerns.
The role leads GP&S engagement with key internal stakeholders, including Employee Relations, Human Resources, Legal, Workplace, and other relevant functions. As a subject-matter expert in Behavioural Threat Assessment and Management (BTAM), the Manager provides operational guidance and ensures responses align with established programme requirements, corporate policies, and local regulatory obligations.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for behavioural threat and emergency escalations from the ASOC and other channels across the EMEA region.
Act as the senior escalation path for behavioural threat concerns raised by internal partners, including Employee Relations, Human Resources, Legal, and Workplace teams.
Leads complex, multi-stakeholder threat investigations involving ambiguous or incomplete information, which will include leveraging intelligence resources.
Lead the operation, governance, and continuous improvement of the Behavioural Threat Assessment Teams (BTAT) across EMEA.
Design, deliver, and oversee BTAM training programmes for key functional stakeholders and people managers.
Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with cross‑functional partners, including Employee Relations, HR, Legal, Workplace, Cyber Incident Response, and other risk functions.
Work collaboratively with threat manager peers in APAC and the Americas to share best practices and align with global standards.
Own regional reporting, trend analysis, and performance metrics to support leadership insight and informed decision‑making.
Collaborate closely with GP&S Regional Protective Services Managers, Event Security, Intelligence and Executive Protection teams to ensure effective information sharing and coordinated protective measures for facilities, events, and senior leaders.
Manage and leverage relationships with external experts including operational psychologists.
Ensure guidance and all response actions are aligned with Accenture policies and applicable local laws and regulations.
Handle highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgement.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Behavioural Science, Security & Safety Management, Occupational Health, or a related field.
Minimum of five years’ experience in emergency response, workplace violence prevention, and/or Behavioural Threat Assessment and Management (BTAM).
Demonstrated corporate experience working closely with support functions such as Human Resources, Employee Relations, Legal, and Workplace teams.
Strong working knowledge of recognised BTAM frameworks, methodologies, platforms, and tools.
Preferred Skills and Attributes
Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and provide clear, confident guidance during high‑stress situations.
Strong relationship‑building and influencing capabilities across senior and cross‑regional stakeholders.
Proven ability to deliver engaging and effective training sessions.
High level of adaptability, sound judgement, and comfort operating in ambiguous or evolving situations.
Strong time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to analyse operational data and summarise insights for senior leadership.
Language skills are advantageous.
Relevant professional certifications preferred (e.g., ATAP CTM).
Additional Requirements
Willingness to work non‑standard hours (24/7), including weekends and holidays as required.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
