Strategy & Consulting - Global Network - Industry X - Infrastructure & Capital Projects Senior Manager
Role Summary
Lead workstreams and programs supporting capital projects and infrastructure initiatives (e.g., data centers, communications, transportation, industrial assets). You will help integrate investment governance, project controls, and digital project platforms, while contributing to value propositions, estimates, and business cases. The role requires strong stakeholder management, presentation skills, and relationship building.
Key Responsibilities
Program Delivery & Governance
- Lead capital project workstreams across the lifecycle: planning/FEED, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Implement PMO / project controls routines: governance, dashboards, RAID, risk register, change control, and cadence.
- Support schedule/cost control practices (critical path, forecasting, EVM, S-curves) to improve predictability.
- Lead or support implementation/optimization of project and investment tools (e.g., SAP PS/ePPM/CPM; Primavera P6; Unifier; Aconex) and coordinate integration with finance/procurement processes.
- Drive reporting and insights (dashboards/analytics) to enhance visibility and decision-making.
Value, Business Case & Investment Support
- Develop CAPEX/OPEX business cases and investment estimates; support portfolio prioritization and governance processes.
- Define value propositions and transformation roadmaps with quantified benefits and KPIs.
- Track and report outcomes: productivity, cost reductions, risk mitigation, compliance and delivery performance.
Proposals & Client Engagement
- Support opportunity shaping: discovery, qualification, and proposal development (scope, estimate, delivery plan).
- Present solutions to senior stakeholders; support commercial discussions and scope alignment.
- Build relationships with infrastructure, investment, construction, operations, IT, and finance leaders.
People Leadership & Practice Building
- Lead project teams and coordinate SMEs; coach and develop team members.
- Contribute to templates, accelerators, and knowledge assets in project controls, PPM toolkits, and data center delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Industrial, Mechanical, Communications Electrical, or related).
- 12+ years of experience delivering capital projects, infrastructure programs, or PMO/project controls transformations.
- Knowledge of planning/scheduling, cost management, risk, procurement interfaces and change control.
- Experience implementing or supporting rollout of project/investment tools (SAP PS/ePPM, Primavera/Unifier/Aconex, or similar).
- Ability to develop and present value propositions, estimates, and business cases to senior stakeholders.
- Advanced English with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean/Agile exposure.
- Analytics/visualization (Power BI/Tableau) for PMO and portfolio reporting.
- Exposure to quality, HSE, and regulatory requirements in infrastructure/construction environments.
- Experience working with EPC/EPCM delivery models and vendor ecosystems.
