We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Release Manager to lead and coordinate software release cycles across multiple teams. This role is responsible for planning, scheduling, and controlling the movement of releases to testing and production environments while ensuring quality, stability, and alignment with business objectives.
The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, understands modern software development practices, and excels at cross-functional coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, and manage release timelines across multiple teams and environments
Coordinate release scope, risk assessments, and deployment readiness
Collaborate with Engineering, QA, Product, DevOps, and IT stakeholders
Ensure compliance with change management and governance policies
Maintain release documentation, calendars, and runbooks
Facilitate go/no-go meetings and post-release reviews
Identify release risks and develop mitigation strategies
Drive continuous improvement in release processes and automation
Monitor release health metrics and report on KPIs
Manage rollback strategies and incident response coordination
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in release management, software delivery, project management or related roles within a technology-driven environment.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple releases simultaneously.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Preferred Skills
Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
Background in risk management and incident response.
Certification in Project Management or Release Management is a plus.
