About the Team
Part of Accenture Strategy and Consulting, we help our clients grow their business in entirely new ways. Artificial Intelligence and Analytics enable our clients to achieve high performance through insights from data - insights that inform better decisions and strengthen customer relationships.
The team has been at the forefront in helping clients from around the globe and across industries under the umbrella of intelligent operations for the last 18 years. We develop cutting-edge assets and solutions to reduce costs and improve supply chain and industrial processes, such as optimization of stock levels, demand planning and forecasting, automated warranty solutions, and predictive asset maintenance.
Our team is composed of over 180 Data Scientists and Engineers with specialized background in logistics and industrial processes, including more than 20% PhD’s in the areas of Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics or Statistics. All that knowledge, combined with Accenture’s business experience, fosters an environment that allows us to quickly react to changing business conditions and provide tailored solution for our client’s needs.
The position is based in Madrid or Barcelona in a hybrid work model, combining remote work with in-office collaboration to foster strong team synergies. It is essential to reside in Spain and have legal work authorization.
Main tasks:
Working on data engineering tasks including data ingestion, data quality, ETL processes, to design and implement modern, scalable data solutions using a range of new and highly performant technologies
Working on the development of data model and efficient data architecture schemas, from the definition of data governance policies to the availability of data sets for business use case development
Working in highly skilled teams advising and supporting our clients on data processing and data management
Working in partnership with global clients and large public/private sector organizations
Design and implement the data architecture for our clients based on high performance data management technologies
Design the integration with legacy data sources
Define the standards and best practices to develop applications using new architectures
Using good communication skills to understand and deliver client requirements
Bring your experience and ideas to innovative engineering, design and strategy
Contribute to our internal networks and special interest groups
Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality
Collaborate with data architects, modelers and IT team members on project goals
Build high-performance algorithms, prototypes, and proof of concepts
Required skills:
Advanced programming skills in Python and PySpark, eventually including R
· SQL and NoSQL based technologies
· Good knowledge on Big Data technologies, e.g., Spark, HDFS and Parquet
· Good management with REST APIs
· Experience on Public Cloud Technologies like AWS, Azure, GCP, etc., or Private Cloud Technologies like Palantir, Splunk, Cloudera, etc.
· Hands-on experience on Snowflake will be also considered
· Any exposure to CI/CD (DevOps, GiT, Jira, IaaC) is a plus
· Any exposure to ML, AI, DL with focus on MLOps (MLFlow, Prefect, TFX…) is a plus
· Experience on: Graph Data Bases (Neo4j, etc.), GenAI, Data Modelling & Arquitecture, Palantir, Snowflake is a plus
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field.
Language: Fluency in English is required.
