SAP MDG Consultant

As a Master Data Governance consultant you will support your clients on their SAP journeys in ensuring the data governance of vital client data is correctly created and maintained. Your goal is to make sure the client can start working with a stable governance systems, processes and their peripherals without questioning the quality of their data.
Your Job
We are seeking a skilled Master Data Governance (MDG) professional to join our team, focusing on ensuring high-quality master data within SAP systems. This role is pivotal in driving data accuracy, consistency, and governance across critical domains such as Material, Customer, Vendor, and more.
As an MDG Consultant, you will be responsible for designing and implementing master data governance strategies that align with the organization's objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish policies, standards, and processes ensuring compliance and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Governance Strategy & Framework Development:
Design and implement master data governance frameworks.
Develop policies and standards for master data management.
Define roles and responsibilities for data ownership and stewardship.
Data Quality & Integrity:
Ensure master data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with business rules.
Monitor and improve data quality across all domains.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
Partner with functional experts to align master data governance with business needs.
Collaborate with IT and operations teams on system configurations and process improvements.
Change Management & Training:
Drive adoption of governance practices through training and communication.
Manage transitions related to master data changes, ensuring minimal disruption.

Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master's is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in MDG/SAP MDM, with hands-on experience in SAP MDG module.
Proficiency in master data domains (Material, Customer, Vendor) other objects is a plus.
Strong understanding of data governance principles and tools.
Technical Skills:
Experience with SAP MDG, MDM solutions, etc.
Knowledge of MDG configuration and workflows
Experience in DQM (Data Quality Management) and MDC (Mass Data Consolidation)
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work in a dynamic, matrixed environment.
Language:
Fluency in Dutch or French, and English is required.
