Network Engineer
Working Hours : 12X5 Support with multiple shift & on call support

Job Summary:
The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the organization's network infrastructure. This role involves ensuring the stability, integrity, and security of the network, supporting various networking solutions, and optimizing network performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and deploy network solutions to meet organizational requirements.
- Install and configure network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Develop and maintain network diagrams and documentation.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks, including firmware updates, configuration backups, and hardware replacements.
- Implement network upgrades and improvements to enhance performance and security.
- Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Ensure network compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
- Provide advanced technical support for network-related issues.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex technical problems.
- Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Lead and participate in network-related projects, including expansions, migrations, and new implementations.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Coordinate with vendors, stakeholders, and other IT teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Generate reports on network performance, capacity, and security.
- Provide regular updates to management on network activities and progress.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in network engineering.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Drive innovation within the team to adopt new tools and technologies that improve the network environment.
Skills :
- Strong technical expertise in network technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs).
- Proficiency with network management and monitoring tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in storage management and VMware infrastructure roles.
- Proven experience with designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructure.
- Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or CompTIA Network+ are advantageous.
