SAP Cutover Lead

Responsibilities:
This role will require extensive experience in Release, Cut-over, regression and performance of enterprise applications. The person works closely with the development and operations teams to deliver accurate and efficient deployments and identifies areas where automation would help streamline process. Experience with monitoring at application and business process level and ability to translate key messages to the IT and business community. This role should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment and excellent coordination skills.

  • Coordinate and manage the Cutover.

  • Develop the Global Template and Local teams, to execute the Cutover.

  • Responsible for to updating the template for future cutovers during the global implementation of the new systems.

  • Responsible for coordinating with the project managers for testing, data migration, IT system cutover and legacy business process transition.

  • Previous experience of working with Global teams with various stakeholders and multiple delivery partners. Develops detailed cut-over checklist and project plan.

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining the Cut-over Project Plan

  • Responsible for detailed project management of the cut-over and conversion deliverables to the new system, resolving discrepancies or process issues related to cut-over

  • Plans the physical resources required for cut-over activities.

  • Provides cut-over status reporting to project leadership and key stakeholders involved in coordination of legacy shut down activities prior to application activation

  • Works closely with the workgroups to document the cut-over plan for each application

  • Single point of contact for coordinating all release planning activities with workstream/ sub-workstream leads

  • Governance structure, stand-up, planning, and execution

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8+ years of overall SAP project experience.

  • Proven experience managing at least two SAP Data Migration and Cutover cycles (implementation or rollout).

  • Strong hands-on experience in SAP data migration and cutover management.

  • Experience working on global template deployments is highly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of SAP delivery methodologies and project governance.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional and multi-stakeholder environments.

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced project environment.

Preferred / Additional Skills

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA programs.

  • Familiarity with LTMC, Migration Cockpit, LVM, ETL tools, or similar migration frameworks.

  • Prior experience working onsite in client-facing roles.

  • Exposure to regional or multi-country deployments.
