Summary:
Act as the ongoing interface between the client and the system or application. Responsible for end-to-end administration of enterprise Managed File Transfer (MFT) and transmission platforms including MS-SCORCH, WS FTP, MoveIT, and RightFax, with backing MS-SQL Server estates on-premises and AWS RDS in the cloud. Ensure secure, compliant, and resilient B2B and internal file transfer operations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Administer MS System Center Orchestrator (SCORCH) including runbook design, integration packs, and platform health
Administer WS FTP Pro and WS FTP Server including SFTP / FTPS configuration, certificate management, and user lifecycle
Administer Progress MoveIT Automation and MoveIT Transfer for B2B and internal file workflows
Administer RightFax server for enterprise fax delivery including connectivity to fax boards, SBCs, and email gateways
Administer Microsoft SQL Server backing the MFT platforms including HA (Always On AG), patching, performance tuning
Administer AWS RDS for SQL Server including Multi-AZ, snapshots, parameter groups, and read replicas
Configure encryption, secure protocols (SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS), key management, and PCI / HIPAA compliance
Build automation for file transfer monitoring, retry logic, alerting, and reconciliation
Perform vulnerability remediation, certificate rotation, and audit-ready hardening of MFT platforms
Migrate workloads between on-prem SQL Server and AWS RDS as part of cloud modernization
Conduct RCA on file transfer failures, partner connectivity issues, and DB performance bottlenecks
Maintain detailed runbooks, partner onboarding playbooks, and operational documentation

Cloud Database: AWS RDS for SQL Server
Cloud: AWS S3 (file landing), AWS Transfer Family, AWS CloudWatch, IAM
Monitoring: Splunk
Security: Qualys, Tenable, certificate management tools, HSM
ITSM: ServiceNow
Automation: PowerShell, Python, Ansible
SLA / KPI Ownership:
Ensure adherence to SLA/KPI commitments including B2B partner file delivery windows
Track MTTR and MTTA for file transfer failures
Monitor file transfer success rate and partner delivery SLAs
Publish service performance reports including partner-by-partner availability
Client Facing Responsibilities:
Participate in war room calls during major incidents
Handle escalation matrix and stakeholder communication
Provide timely updates to business and technical stakeholders
Participate in governance and service review meetings
Coordinate with external B2B partners on onboarding and incident resolution
Professional & Technical Skills:

Ability to handle critical incidents and escalations
Flexible to work in 24/7 environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
Ability to lead small teams and mentor junior administrators
MS Orchestrator (SCORCH), WS FTP Pro / Server, Progress MoveIT, RightFax, Microsoft SQL Server, AWS RDS for SQL Server, Secure File Transfer Operations
7+ years of total experience administering enterprise MFT and file transfer platforms
Strong hands-on experience with WS FTP, MoveIT, RightFax, and SCORCH
Strong understanding of secure file transfer protocols, certificate management, and PKI
Knowledge about the SaaS based MFT tools like Redwood, IBM Sterling is good to have
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration
Knowledge and Working experience with AWS RDS for SQL Server
Experience with PCI-DSS / HIPAA / SOX audit and compliance for file transmission
Microsoft SQL Server certification preferred AWS Certified Database Specialty preferred
Additional Information:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline. Relevant industry certifications strongly preferred.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
