Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by proactively monitoring and investigating issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a dynamic approach to identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to maintain system stability and performance. The position demands continuous collaboration with different teams to ensure seamless operation and timely resolution of challenges that impact critical business functions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
As a part of infrastructure team you will play a vital role in ensuring the stability and performance of multiple infrastructure services
such as UNIX, Networks, Storage and DevOps. Team member would also be responsible to deal with level 1 and 2 tasks,
troubleshoot and resolve issues. Cross-training in managing multiple infrastructure equipment such as servers, network devices
in disciplines of Unix/Linux, Networks Storage and DevOps is expected. This will include ensuring operations run consistently in
a standard way across all regions and that data is appropriately stored, protected or archived within agreed service levels. As
part of the 24/7 service, you will be responsible for incident and change management and provide technical guidance to other
members of the team or other infrastructure teams.
This is an individual contributor position within Mumbai IT team and is a critical part of our organization.
Detailed role and responsibilities are as follows:
DevOps:
Manage and optimize the entire SDLC toolchain, from planning to deployment and monitoring.
Implement and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline software delivery processes.
Automate manual processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
Ensure security best practices are integrated throughout the SDLC.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SDLC tools and processes.
Provide training and support to team members on SDLC tools and best practices.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in DevOps and SDLC.
Proven experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar.
Strong knowledge of Python programming. Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Familiarity with containerisation technologies (eg. Docker, Kubernetes, Pulsar).
Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (Ansible, Terraform).
Experience with VCS systems (we use GitLab) and CI/CD tools (e.g. GitLab CI).
Skills in Machine Learning engineering.
Understanding of how to use REST APIs and build integration with other tools.
Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

oExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
oExperience with developer tooling (e.g. IDEs, Nexus, Sonarqube).
oStrong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
oFamiliarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
oPrevious work with real-time systems (trading or event-driven applications).
Miscellaneous Skills
oExperience of using JIRA and ServiceNow tools.
oSecurity Awareness: An understanding of security best practices and a commitment to maintaining system security.
oDocumentation: Proficiency in maintaining accurate and up-to-date system documentation.
oCollaboration: Strong teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with colleagues and other departments.
oTeam Player with excellent verbal and written communications required

UNIX/LINUX:
Basic understanding of Linux operating systems, including experience with installations, configurations and troubleshooting.
Troubleshooting skills: The ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently, with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving.
Knowledge of Linux OS, Scripting, automation tooling such as Python or Ansible (desirable)
Certified:
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer,Certified Kubernetes Administrator).
Experience with microservices architecture.
Knowledge of security practices and tools in the SDLC.
ITIL/ITSM Certified
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in DevOps.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure automation and configuration management tools.
- Ability to monitor and troubleshoot complex distributed systems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and container orchestration technologies.
- Understanding of scripting and automation to optimize operational workflows.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in DevOps.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
