Summary:
As a Technology Support Engineer, you will engage in a dynamic work environment where your primary focus will be on resolving incidents and problems that arise across various business system components. Your day will involve ensuring operational stability, creating and implementing Requests for Change, and updating knowledge base articles to facilitate effective troubleshooting. You will also collaborate with vendors and assist service management teams in analyzing and resolving issues, contributing to a seamless operational flow and enhanced service delivery.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Perform independently as a Database Administrator and evolve into a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- Take ownership and accountability for assigned tasks, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
- Actively participate and contribute in team discussions, knowledge-sharing, and decision-making.
- Be part of 24/7 operations team to support critical database environments, including proactive monitoring and issue resolution.
- Manage and maintain Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) environments, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Configure, monitor, and support Oracle Data Guard for disaster recovery and business continuity.
- Execute exclusive patching & maintenance activities using DMA tools, ensuring minimal downtime, and addressing security vulnerabilities.
- Perform vulnerability assessment and remediation in alignment with compliance requirements.
- Utilize Rubrik (or similar tools) for backup and recovery operations, ensuring data integrity and availability.
- Administer and maintain Oracle Exadata systems with strong knowledge of its architecture and optimization practices.
- Manage Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring, performance tuning, and automation of DBA tasks.
- Troubleshoot system and application issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (infrastructure, application, and security) to resolve complex technical problems.
- Ensure proper documentation of database processes, changes, and incidents for knowledge management.
- Contribute to system enhancements, upgrades, and performance tuning initiatives.
- Stay updated on the latest Oracle technologies, security advisories, and best practices.

Professional & Technical Skills:
-Must Have Skills:
Strong proficiency in Oracle Database Administration (12c/19c/21c).
- Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Expertise in Data Guard (Physical & Logical standby databases, switchover/failover scenarios).
- Knowledge of Exadata administration and tuning practices.
- Experience in backup and recovery strategies using Rubrik or other enterprise tools.
- Patching and maintenance expertise with DMA tools and handling security vulnerabilities.
- Proficiency in Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and automation.
- Strong understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, and optimization.
- Ability to work effectively in a 24/7 support environment.

Good To Have Skills:
- Working knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix system administration.
- Exposure to automation using Shell/Python scripting.
- Experience with ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management).
- Candidate should be proactive, accountable, and highly productive while collaborating with the team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

- The candidate should have minimum 8 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration (DBA).
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
