Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, you will engage in the development of custom software solutions that involve designing, coding, and enhancing various components across systems or applications. Your typical day will include collaborating with cross-functional teams, utilizing modern frameworks, and applying agile practices to deliver scalable and high-performing solutions that are tailored to meet specific business needs. You will be involved in problem-solving and innovation, ensuring that the software solutions align with the overall objectives of the organization while maintaining a focus on quality and efficiency.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Research, design, and develop Automation framework.
- Ability to build automated test solution from the beginning using Java, cucumber, selenium, Playwright and groovy scripting
- Analyze user needs and develop software solutions
- Work with other engineers to integrate hardware and/or software systems
- Coordination with application support (BA and developers) and other functional team members / colleagues on creating the automation test suite.
- Update software, enhances existing software capabilities, and develops and direct software testing and validation procedures.
- Preparing good documentation of each automated test process.
- Develop specifications and performance requirements.
- Maintain up to date test libraries (test cases)
- Handle application functional automation testing
- Prepare regular reports on test results
- Understanding of corporate banking and cash management domain (experience on payment channels will be good to have)
- At least 7 years of total software engineering experience with minimum of 4 years experience in automation development using JAVA / Selenium / Cucumber / Playwright tools
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Selenium.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with Java Standard Edition, Test Automation Strategy, Cucumber (Software).
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle methodologies.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools.
- Ability to write clear and concise documentation for software solutions.
Java, Groovy & Unix Scripting
- Selenium, Cucumber
- API Automation
- API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI etc.
- Relational databases – Oracle / PostgreSQL
- Good to have: No SQL DB – Cassandra, HBASE, MongoDB
- Build tool – Maven/Gradle, JMS/WebSphere MQ/Kafka message broker, Restful web services, Jenkins/Gitlab runner
- Source code / Artifact management –GITLab, GitHub or BitBuket, Artifactory / Nexus.
- Application server – JBoss AS/WebLogic
- Good to have: Knowledge of Elastic or Open Search stack / End-to-end traceability too
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Selenium and automation development using JAVA / Selenium / Cucumber / Playwright tools
- This position is based at our Mumbai client office. 5 days a week from the client office (Airoli)
- A 15 years full time education is required.
