What would you do? This managerial position is part of the Group’s Operations Data Management (ODM) team. It directs the global Material Master data processes and activities of the Operations Data Analysts and Senior Data Analysts, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all Material Master Data used in Global supply chain operations. Be guardian of the global master data template to ensure integrity of the TaO model is maintained. Ensure adherence to the global (and cross functional) create/modify/delete data management processes applicable in client’s global systems by all data users, ensuring that any issues with data integrity or misalignment between systems are resolved by the relevant owners in a timely manner within agreed SLAs. What are we looking for? •Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required Expert level knowledge and understanding of SAP Material Master Data Knowledge and understanding of Master Data processes, management, governance and controls under the Target Operating Model (TOM) and TaO highly desirable. High degree of understanding of supply chain processes. Knowledge of cigarette products and materials desirable Knowledge and understanding of the impact of Central IT proposals/strategy on supply chain operations Experience Required Five (5) years experience working in a systems orientated supply chain environment Review master data management process, standards and governance. Build a work plan for master data administration process and efficiency improvement (in co-ordination with other DM Leads) covering a minimum rolling 12 month period including relevant strategy, priorities and tactical execution detail. Lead the implementation of agreed changes through global regional and local master data management resources. iv. Relationship Proactively develop working relationships with global / regional / local data teams and stakeholders, guiding them on data related issues and managing alignment to business standards and priorities Work closely with global/regional/local master data administration personnel as applicable to target accurate and timely system adjustment or implementation to changed or new data standards. Close working relationship with couterpart positions in Marketing and Finance to ensure overall alignment to a Group process and governance on data administration ways of working and governance. Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required Influencing skills: ability to engage, debate and reason successfully with peers, sub-ordinates and immediate senior management. Roles and Responsibilities: •i. Operations/ Professional/ Business Manage the creation, amendment and deletion activities of all Material Master data within the Global Data Management team. Develop, co-ordinate and deliver training to the Global Data Management team and other regional or local master data owners as appropriate in line with approved changes to processes or systems. Ensure that the material master data processes for creation, amendment and deletion are understood and owned across the Global Data Management team plus Global Operations departments, factories and end markets. Ensure that all documentation is updated in line with any business changes to data management processes Manage the Master Data Incident IT support process and ensure resolution within agreed SLAs Monitor data completeness and accuracy through weekly and monthly KPI, Global Core compliance and data quality reports, to drive improved data integrity. Ensure that key data is validated on a monthly basis to align to the continuous improvement process and ensure master data accuracy and compliance with global data standards to the required and agreed accuracy rates as per SLA with data customers and users. Drive data cleansing activities to proactively identify missing or incorrect material master data and put corrective actions in place Ensure all data errors are resolved by the relevant department in a timely manner within the stated SLA timelines to minimise any adverse impact on planning and systems use Complete Business Impact Assessments for all Master Data changes / change requests for the Global Master Data Administration team. As a master data knowledge expert, contribute to global, regional and local MDM projects as required on behalf of the Global Data Management team and drive implementation of approved changes into BAU as applicable. ii. Management When necessary, recruit and manage additional temporary resources to cover BAU staff deployed for project requirements. Act as back-up for the Senior Data Analysts, cover for the other Global Data Management Leads and where required, as deputy for the Global Data Management Manager. iii. Leadership Manage the global master data team activities and workload, ensuring priorities are set and timelines are met, for BAU and the numerous global, regional and local projects involving master data where the global master data administration team need to be involved. Review master data management process, standards and governance. Build a work plan for master data administration process and efficiency improvement
