What would you do? Accenture is seeking a Procurement Operations Associate to support various indirect purchases for our customers. In this capacity, you will be based out of one of our delivery centers and will have frequent interaction with team members and customers in the execution of projects. These projects will help customers achieve significant value in the form of improved pricing, quality, delivery, and supplier performance. Business Process Services professionals work on projects across a range of business processes, business applications and information technology. They may provide technology services, such as application management, infrastructure management and systems integration, or they may deliver business process services, including finance and accounting, procurement and human resources. Depending on the role, Business Process Services professionals may be based at a client’s office or in one of Accenture’s 50 delivery centers around the world.
What are we looking for? Basic Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent • Procurement experience • FAR based purchasing experience a plus • SAP experience a plus • Exposure to procurement operations life cycle including knowledge of procurement systems, PO creation and processing, contracting, and supplier invoicing • Exceptional multi-tasking skills • Solid understanding of and experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis • Proficiency with Excel and Access • Excellent communication, organization/time management and problem solving skills • Project management skills •Functional Skills • Strong understanding of supplier onboarding, compliance, and procurement governance • Knowledge of data privacy, information security, and third party risk management • Experience working with compliance portals / dashboards / procurement tools • Ability to interpret policy and translate it into operational actions Behavioral & Soft Skills • Excellent stakeholder communication and follow up skills • Strong attention to detail and risk awareness • Ability to manage work under tight SLA timelines • Willingness to learn and adapt in a high compliance, evolving domain • Comfortable working in US time zones / global operations • Experience in Procurement Operations, Finance Operations, Vendor Management, Risk & Compliance, or Third Party Risk • Exposure to SSPA / data protection / privacy / security controls is a strong plus • Willingness to complete SSPA-related certifications (sponsored, where applicable) • Experience supporting Microsoft or large global enterprises is advantageous
Roles and Responsibilities: • Provide day to day buying and tactical sourcing services at the customer Procurement Operations center • Additional responsibilities include supporting the Analysts and Specialists, resolving complex tactical issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. • Apply tactical sourcing for savings generation on non-routine purchases • Execute processes in compliance with the Procurement Operations Playbook standards; provide support for the order through the entire transaction • Manage individual compliance issues directly with customer stakeholders, escalating if issues are systematic • Ensure customer quality and timeliness requirements are met through each executed purchase order • Understand and apply the end-to-end process for tactical procurement • Ability to share and educate others on tactical purchasing knowledge • Assist special team projects as needed• Develop category knowledge through daily execution and management across a broad category space • Strong sourcing capabilities • Develop team leadership skills • Develop customer relationship management skills • High ownership and accountability • One step ahead of transactional buying roles • Requires judgment, interpretation, and supplier negotiation, not just processing
