  • (Internal Title: Engineering III)
  • Utility Coordination & Technical Review.
    • Provide technical review and coordination support for temporary and permanent utility relocations and installations impacting client projects.
    • Utilities may include natural gas, electricity, water, sanitary and storm sewer, telecommunications, cable infrastructure, and federally regulated pipelines.
    • Review utility‑related design drawings and submissions to ensure compliance with:
      • Utility Asset Owner requirements.
      • Applicable legislation, codes, standards, and specifications.
      • Client Engineering, Construction & Expansion (ECE) Design Standards, Manuals, and Directives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Approvals
    • Support coordination with Utility Asset Owners, municipalities, and regulatory agencies to identify requirements and facilitate reviews and approvals
    • Prepare, submit, and track utility applications, design packages, and approval documentation.
    • Participate in technical coordination meetings and maintain meeting records, action logs, and follow‑up items.
  • Agreements & Negotiation Support
    • Assist Client staff in developing and administering utility‑related agreements, including:
      • Coordination Agreements.
      • Offers to Connect (OTCs).
      • Cost‑sharing arrangements.
      • Non‑Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
      • Support negotiations with third‑party Utility Asset Owners under client direction.
  • Construction‑Phase Support
    • Support client construction teams through review of:
      • Contractor submittals.
      • Requests for Information (RFIs).
      • Utility‑related contract changes.
      • Assist with resolution of utility issues to ensure construction compliance with approved designs and executed agreements.
  • Working Conditions
    • Office-based
  • University degree in in Civil Engineering, Municipal Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario or be licensed by the OAA (Ontario Architect Association).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of civil and utility engineering principles for underground infrastructure.
  • 4-5 years of relevant experience in a civil engineering or municipal infrastructure environment, gained as a Civil Engineering Technologist (CET), Municipal CET, Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (P.Eng.).
  • Working knowledge of Ontario municipal and utility regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience reviewing utility‑related engineering designs and submissions.
  • Understanding of project management principles, including cost and schedule control.
  • Experience coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE: 

  • Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
  • Certification as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Civil Engineering Technologist (CET) is mandatory.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain client‑required safety and operating certifications.
  • Knowledge of, or ability to rapidly acquire, client accessibility obligations and the Ontario Human Rights Code.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and well‑documented records of commitments and approvals.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with standard office tools including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Power BI
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and work with multi-disciplined teams, deal with complex issues, and maintain effective working relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, influence, and obtain cooperation from a diverse group of internal and external project stakeholders to achieve the goals and objectives of the project
  • Demonstrate or proven ability in organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving solving and analytical skills
  • Thorough understanding of prevailing engineering means and methods
  • Expert ability to work collaboratively and independently in a structured, disciplined, technology-driven environment
  • Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment by ensuring effective teamwork, promotion of innovation, and overall excellence
  • Demonstrated functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation, based on full-time employment, for roles that may be hired as set forth below.

The recruiting efforts for this position are intended to fill a brand new position.

The base pay range shown below is intended as a guideline to reflect the majority of offers for this role. It does not represent a maximum limit — in some cases, actual compensation may exceed the range where appropriate.
