Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior System Analyst to support enterprise data warehousing initiatives within the banking domain. The role involves system analysis, solution design, and L3 support for complex data platforms leveraging Informatica, Teradata, Hadoop, and Oracle technologies. The ideal candidate will possess strong SDLC knowledge, hands-on experience in data modeling and ETL processes, and the ability to act as a bridge between business and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform system analysis, design, and solutioning for EDW and data integration projects
- Provide L3 production support, including incident management, root cause analysis, and performance tuning
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather and translate requirements into technical specifications
- Design and review data models, data marts, and data mapping processes
- Oversee ETL processes using Informatica or SAS, ensuring data quality and consistency
- Support implementation and enhancement of data platforms (Teradata, Hadoop, Oracle)
- Ensure adherence to SDLC, IT service management (ITSM/ITSC), and governance standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and optimization of data workflows
- Mentor junior analysts and developers where required
Required Skills:
- 6-9 years of experience in data warehousing, system analysis, and production support
- Strong experience in Informatica (certification preferred/mandatory) or SAS for ETL development
- Hands-on experience with at least one of the following: Teradata, Hadoop (Hive), or Oracle (mandatory)
- Certification in at least two relevant technologies (e.g., ETL, database, analytics, or big data platforms)
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, data mapping, and data marts
- Experience working in banking or financial services domain
- Proficiency in SQL and database concepts across Teradata, Oracle, or Hadoop ecosystems
- Understanding of SDLC, IT service continuity/support (ITSC), and release processes
- Familiarity with CI/CD or DevOps tools such as Jira, Jenkins, or Bitbucket
- Experience working in Unix/Linux/Windows/AIX environments
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Exposure to big data and analytics tools such as HDFS, Hive, Scala, Python, Power BI, Qlik Sense, SAS, or Splunk
- Knowledge of AI/ML concepts or data science platforms
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift)
- Familiarity with tools such as Control-M, QuerySurge, Business Objects, PUTTY, or Aldon
- Strong functional understanding of banking domains such as Finance (GL, reconciliation), Risk (credit risk, Basel, BCBS 239), Retail/Wholesale banking, Trade Finance, Treasury, or Wealth Management
- Experience in data profiling, data quality, and metadata management
- Exposure to Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines
- Business analysis skills and ability to translate functional requirements into technical solutions
