Job Summary

  • The Finance Process Architecture (FPA) team is the liaison between the business owners and the system development teams. FPA translates business needs into into the necessary design requirements to processes, tools, and applications. 
  • Accenture’s continued growth creates constant need for enhancements to finance processes, supporting tools, and applications including our highly customized SAP solution.
  • This role provides expertise towards the design, development, maintenance, continuous improvement, and support of Tax processes, including Non-SAP and SAP systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead discussions with key stakeholders to design and implement enhancements and new technology projects aligned to Accenture and Tax Leadership priorities. Work side-by-side with CIO program, project leads, and Tax experts.
  • Own project management applying Finance Process Excellence and Agile Methodologies throughout the entire life cycle: Plan&Analize, Design, Build, Test, Deploy, Stabilize.  Includes requirements documentation, functional design, integration analysis, testing plan and execution, deployment, process documentation, functional flows and overall change management of new products and enhancements. 
  • Advise as Subject Matter Expert of Tax processes, sharing insights, expertise and best practices with our business owners.
  • Perform and/or supervise daily operations to:
  • Maintain Tax owned systems: including SAP transfer pricing mechanisms, intercompany billing processes, tax reporting, and non-SAP integrated systems.
  • Support Financial Month End Close schedule, including:
    • Completing, and/or reviewing and coordinating deliverables
    • Ensuring timely and error-free intercompany master data maintenance for proper transfer price calculation and billing
    • Assessing impact on Tax processes and solutions, advising how to resolve issues with minimum risk
    • Representing Tax Management in cross process area discussions to resolve incidents impacting financial data with medium and high priority, observing protocols to escalate system errors/issues,
    • Producing ad-hoc and detailed analysis of high-volume data and customized reports

  • Comprehend system functional designs (SAP and non SAP systems) and process data flows, and recommend designs to meet business needs and requirements.
  • Advise on security design matters for Tax owned business roles and production support roles.
  • Support internal control requirements, including critical report validations



  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 8+ years of Accounting and/or Finance experience.
  • Language: Fluent English, spoken and written.
  • Work Requirements: Collaborating with teams in multiple time zones. Available during off business hours: monthly during financial close, at minimum twice a year to support SAP release weekends, and anytime for high priority incidents resolution, therefore, overtime may be needed.

Professional Development Skills

  • Business process design and improvement experience. Champion the concepts of simplification, process improvements, and standardization
  • Proficiency in SAP Finance and Microsoft Office (Power BI, Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Intercompany and Tax specific knowledge are not a requirement for this role; however, individual must be capable of learning and applying business acumen and process best practices in this area of expertise.
