Accenture Strategy & Consulting is seeking an experienced innovation consultant/ manager to support the Principal Director leading the industry convergence agenda for Innovation across Europe. This role has a market-wide remit, sitting in the newly formed European Innovation Practice.
As Innovation Manager for Industry Convergence (Innovation Interlock) you will work collaboratively with the S&C and Technology Heads of Innovation to develop and drive the overall Innovation agenda and roadmap for Industry Convergence across Europe, side by side with your Principal Director.
In co-creation with other industry and innovation teams you will develop innovative concepts and market offerings for cutting-edge topics like digital health, mobility, energy transition and 5G. You will drive the content development process and take over responsibility for multiple work streams simultaneously including project management, pulling in the required resources and transferring knowledge across the network as needed.
You will work closely with Industry and Functional Network Leads, as well as colleagues at the Dock and?What If! to develop provocative points of view design to reframe client conversations and move quickly to new and emerging challenges as yet unseen.
In this role you will collaborate with other key team members across the business, including MU Innovation and Technology leads, Client Account Leads, and the Diamond Innovation Programme Lead, and will help drive origination, business development, sales and programme management activities.
This position is likely to require some travel in future – up to 20% average through the year – with a degree of unpredictability, for client engagement and other market-facing related activities. The position is flexible in supporting “work from home” when not traveling to client sites, as allowed within local office policies and guidelines. Other flexible work arrangements can be discussed.
Develop new value propositions and campaigns for key convergence plays
Design and develop the innovation agenda and go-to-market strategy for priority industries (e.g. energy, utilities, banking, consumer goods, retail) and areas of convergence (e.g. the energy transition, payments, digital health)
Activate the Innovation agenda across the relevant industry, functional and client group networks, educating leadership and sparking ideas for origination
Support select sales opportunities by bringing the right Innovation support at the right time
Act as a conduit across Innovation, the Networks and other appropriate fora and channels to drive awareness and origination
Work with content development & marketing and other relevant teams to develop market-relevant Thought Leadership or, if appropriate, specific offerings for “macro- / micro-themes”
Collaborate with Marketing & Communications globally and in market to establish/ coordinate appropriate external engagement, e.g. online presence as a provocateur, speaking engagements, written publications, etc.
Collaborate with Marketing & Communications globally and in market to establish/ coordinate appropriate internal community activities and an overall communication strategy to create a strong Community of Practice site, Town Halls, practice newsletters, industry learning boards, etc.
Support in the development of an investment plan to enable the programme, including managing approved investments through their lifecycle and delivering within budget allocation
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in designing and delivering a broad range of Innovation services for clients incl. mastering innovation methods & tools
Experience in designing and run innovation workshops
Understanding of current Innovation trends, technologies, strategies, solutions and tools
Experience in Go-To Market strategy, business development & sales execution process
Entrepreneurial mind set, self-starter style, and ability to drive outcomes
Ability to effectively work with dynamic multi-disciplinary, multi-region teams
Eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environment while also working semi-autonomously
Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
Willingness to work across Europe in a dynamic and initially virtual environment
Experience developing and scaling new ways of doing things
Acumen in new product or service development and capability building, including running innovation processes, projects and workshops; concept development and experimentation
Experience creating, managing, and tracking programme investment business cases
Skilled in persuasion and inspiring and activating change
Track record of building relationships with stakeholders
Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
Ability to work in a highly collaborative, influence-based model
