Based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, this position is for a legal professional  to support the Employment Law function providing operational and strategic employment-related legal advice to Accenture operations in Argentina, Chile, Perú, Colombia, Mexico and other countries in Latin America, including active involvement in trade union related issues and regional transactional matters. The candidate will also be required to provide training to other employees, draft documents and agreements, perform legal research and oversee litigation and pre-litigation matters with external counsel across the region.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide operational and strategic support to Human Resources / Employee Relations in Hispanic South America & Mexico.
  • Act as legal advisor to executives on employment issues.
  • Have an active involvement in trade union issues, including interpretation and enforcement of collective bargaining agreements and building a healthy relationship with union leaders.
  • Oversee and provide support to litigation and pre-litigation matters, in conjunction with Human Resources team and external counsel.
  • Contribute to develop internal guidelines and policies.
  • Manage employment law projects in the assigned geography, advising HR and management as appropriate.
  • Manage and oversee outside counsel across the region, including managing the budget.

·         Graduation in first line Universities (from 8 to 10 years of graduation)

·         Post-Graduation or LLM is a nice to have.

·         In depth knowledge of employment law issues in Argentina, both individual and collective.

·         Strong experience in managing and handling labor litigation

·         Exposure to employment law issues in other Latin American countries will also be valued.

·         Strong proficiency in spoken and written English

·         Ability to work closely with wide range of personnel, including frequent interaction with top-level executives. 

·         Superior negotiation and litigation skills and deep experience in collective / union matters.

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills.

·         Ability to influence, strong executive presence
