As a Managing Director, I lead our Products business in Switzerland. I really enjoy that I can act as an entrepreneur backed by the large Accenture network to help drive value for the company—and more importantly, for my clients.
We recently collaborated with Swiss eco-tech company Climeworks to help fight global warming. We developed a technical solution to enable Climeworks to better understand plant operations and forecast carbon capture in different conditions. I helped ensure Accenture’s sponsorship of the project.
Our team developed analytics models to enhance decision-making and support optimization of select key performance indicators; identified and formalized Climeworks assets to be leveraged in a data-driven digital plant strategy; and created an Azure cloud-based digital plant user interface that allows Climeworks the ability to use analytics to visualize core functionality.
It was inspiring to be part of this project—by doing our part, we can leave behind a better world and reverse some of the negative impacts of climate change.
The Climeworks team included Technical Architect Gary Boyle, who focused on ensuring the effectiveness of the digital plant solution; Industry X and Sales Lead Stéphane Piqué, who served as project lead; Managing Director Andrew Smith, who helped champion the project; and Project Analytics Lead Xiang Zhao, who translated requirements for the analytics team.
