How I put change in motion

As a Client Account Leadership Senior Manager, I’m responsible for the day-to-day relationship with client stakeholders, working to understand their needs and put the best of Accenture on the ground to fulfill their goals and ambitions. I love when a client says, “This is done. We did it.” It’s an accomplishment for both of us, as we share in every success.

One of my latest projects is Expo 2020 Dubai. It’s not only one of the most important global events; it also showcases the highest concentration of innovation in the world. Everything we do has to go toward transforming curious Expo visitors into highly satisfied guests, participants and, ideally, co-innovators.

As Senior Manager on this project, I worked closely with the Expo 2020 team, listening to their problems and challenges and demonstrating our commitment with daily achievements. Good communication and team synergy are vital to the success of any project.

For example, when developing the mobile app for this project, there were many challenges in terms of solution complexity, different time zones and project management. But we put together a strong action plan, organized ourselves and brought our best technologists together, and we made a mission impossible, possible!

My team includes Management Consultant Dipti Bhatia, who manages day-to-day operational activities and provides project management governance; CRM-Marketing Lead Vineet Kaul, who manages the information technology landscape; and Marketing Lead Loren Naish, who capitalizes on the opportunities that come with partnering on such a huge event.

A day in my life

My day starts with an internal stand-up meeting to get progress updates and set new goals and priorities. Then I spend time checking in with the client to see if they are satisfied with progress, discuss any potential challenges and make sure all risks are identified.

Throughout the day, we stay close to our team to help them meet their daily objectives. The overall goal is to work with the team and the broader organization to spot new ways to provide value and to help our clients keep growing.

Stay relevant, keep learning and use your knowledge to provide value. This attitude and approach will always pay off and will help you become a very strong professional.
