Job Overview:

As a Business Applications Market Development Director, you will be responsible for originating pipeline and capturing profitable sales outcomes by leading multiple sales efforts from deal origination, shaping, negotiation, closure, and delivery, using professional sales processes.

You create value for clients by helping shape and sell solutions for customers using Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform and Azure. The MDD will work with Accenture industry and functional teams. This role is positioned within a Europe Market Wide responsibility, and not just aligned to the country in which you’re currently based.

  • Drive the sales process

  • Originate and close sales to achieve sales and pipeline targets across new and existing channels

  • Understand and leverage Accenture’s sales best practices, tools, processes, and reporting

  • Grow a profitable sales pipeline and/or backlog

  • Build strong, credible relationships with client executives as well as Accenture colleagues

  • Collaborate with sales colleagues to ensure efficient, effective use of business development resources

  • Understand Accenture assets, offerings, and methodologies to match to client business needs effectively


  • Strong business acumen & successful track record in aligning with customers

  • Good blend of commercial, sales and technical skills combined with a consultative mindset

  • Extremely strong client relationship building and management skills

  • Strong, proven experience in originating and shaping deals for enterprise-level customers and clients

  • Experienced in selling Microsoft Business applications (Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure etc.)

  • Proven record of originating and closing deals of $5m+
