Legal Senior Manager

You will be responsible for Corporate, Compliance, Regulatory and Operations legal support, managing a 10-person team in our Geographic Unit covering Italy, Eastern Europe and Greece.
You will provide legal advice to senior management, understand their concerns and needs and identify the legal risk patterns and trends across various markets.

  • Counsel, advise, and consult the Geographical Unit Managing Director on Compliance matters and provide legal support for our local operations and corporate functions including HR, Marketing, Procurement, Finance, Corporate Citizenship.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Legal Lead and other Legal Experts covering the regulatory aspects of Accenture’s Offerings and Alliances, Litigation, IP, Entity Matters, Labour Law, Data Privacy, Anti-Corruption, Anti-Trust and Export Controls. You will foster consistency across the Legal group using different solutions, templates and knowledge.
  • Manage outside counsel support while keeping spending within budget.
  • Implement the Legal group strategy and the Geography Legal action plan and nationwide guidelines.
  • Navigate government and political relations and anticipate trends and issues by partnering with the Government Relations team and local leadership.
  • Integrate companies or business acquired by our corporate and compliance operations.
  • Help develop internal guidelines and toolkits, including standard or template contracts.

  • At least 12 years’ legal support experience in roles with increasing responsibility. Such experience should be with a law firm, a fast-paced Corporate Legal/transaction group for an IT/Consulting services vendor, or a significant market player’s Legal department.
  • In-depth knowledge of core Legal areas, solid knowledge of Corporate, Compliance Matters (i.e. Anti-Corruption and Data Privacy/Employment-Immigration), Intellectual Property law and a general Litigation understanding.
  • Knowledge of Regulatory environments, procurement laws, and other experience and Contracting, Procurement and Business Ethics knowledge.
  • Proven ability to efficiently manage and negotiate large complex transactions.
  • Strong Executive presence and the ability to work effectively with Senior Executives.
  • In depth commercial acumen and the ability to strike effective risk/reward balances.
  • Ability to quickly understand opportunity, setup and identify potential Legal risks; motivate and consult professionals; present balanced, lawful, and well-reasoned solutions and build professional networks.
  • Strong time management, prioritisation, and organisational skills.
  • An Italian law degree (a masters would be an added advantage).
  • Fluent spoken and written English skills.
  • A willingness to travel.
