What would you do? Accenture is seeking a dynamic and results oriented Demand Planning Manager to lead and transform global demand planning operations. This role is focused on driving forecast accuracy, enabling data driven decision making, and delivering measurable business outcomes through advanced analytics, digital transformation, and strong cross functional collaboration. You will work closely with internal and external clients to design, execute, and continuously improve demand planning processes while ensuring alignment with supply chain KPIs, client SLAs, and broader business objectives. Supply Chain involves managing the flow of goods and services from suppliers to customers. This role includes planning and coordinating production, transportation, and inventory management. It also involves ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and quality control. The goal is to optimize the entire supply chain process to meet customer demands and improve organizational efficiency. A solution used to support Forecast market demand for company`s products and produce a consensus demand plan either in volume or value or both. Make use of automated planning and management by exception.
What are we looking for? •Team Management Yes (20 to 30 team members: Associate Manager, Team Leads, Sr Analysts & Analysts) Experience Required 10 to 18+ years in Demand planning and Forecasting, Education Bachelors (B.Com/B.Sc/BBA/BE/B.Tech); Master’s in Supply Chain & Operations is preferred Tools & Systems APS tools (Kinaxis/o9/OMP/ IBP/APO, etc.), SAP ECC, Power BI and Advance Excel Travel Requirement As per business requirement Industry Experience FMCG, Regulatory, Electronics, Manufacturing, or similar large-scale supply chain environments
Roles and Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities 1. Global Demand Planning Leadership • Architect and lead end to end global demand planning processes across multiple business units and geographies • Ensure robust statistical forecasting, demand signal integration, and scenario planning • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Supply, and S&OP teams to align demand plans with business strategy 2. Advanced Forecasting & Analytics • Design, deploy, and optimize advanced forecasting models (e.g., ARIMA, exponential smoothing, AI/ML techniques) • Leverage leading planning and analytics platforms such as Kinaxis, SAP IBP, O9 etc • Translate complex analytical outputs into clear, actionable business insights 3. Data Integration & Automation • Integrate multiple demand signals including historical sales, POS data, promotions, market intelligence, and external indicators • Automate data pipelines, forecasting workflows, and performance reporting • Develop executive ready dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, and SAP Analytics Cloud 4. Exception Based Planning & Performance Management • Design and implement exception based planning frameworks • Proactively identify forecast deviations, demand supply gaps, and risks using root cause analytics • Drive corrective actions to improve forecast accuracy and service performance 5. Digital Transformation & Innovation • Lead demand planning digital transformation initiatives, including AI/ML based forecasting, digital twins, and near real time analytics • Champion adoption of next generation planning tools and best in class methodologies 6. Master Data Governance • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of demand relevant master data (product, customer, location) • Govern data across systems such as SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and enterprise data platforms 7. Continuous Improvement • Lead Lean, Kaizen, or Six Sigma initiatives to streamline demand planning processes • Reduce forecast error, shorten planning cycles, and improve planning maturity 8. Team Leadership & Capability Building • Lead, mentor, and upskill demand planning teams in advanced analytics, systems, and industry best practices • Build a high performance, insight driven planning organization • Please note that this role may require you to work in rotational shifts
