Application Development Manager (Accenture LLP; Hartford, CT): Accenture LLP seeks an Application Development Manager in Hartford, CT to develop application and component strategy in line with the business strategy for one or more programs. S/He will perform the following duties: make technology trends into solutions; architect development strategy for applications and components; manage one or multiple development streams in line with overall program(s) timing and milestones; manage overall deployment plan; including the development plan and schedule; understand business drivers that will impact performance; ensure communication from/ to the technical architect of any issues that may affect any other areas of the project; ensure maintenance activities are in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) or other business requirements; provide technical expertise and guidance to production support staff and client; design, build, assemble, and configure application or technical architecture components using business requirements; build and leverage reusable code and libraries for future use; lead code and quality management reviews; team with stakeholders on application and component design to secure buy in; partner with the testing team to ensure applications/components are fully functional and oversee and fix any defects or performance problems discovered in testing.
This position requires at least a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering (any), or in a closely related field, plus 6 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience as Application Development Analyst, Associate Software Engineer, or in a related IT position. This position also requires the following professional experience: 5 years of experience in Oracle Life Science Data Hub (LSH) with Exadata, ZFS Storage, or Private Cloud application development, support and maintenance for life sciences research and development systems; 5 years of experience in application development, support and maintenance of Data Management Workbench (DMW) for Study development lifecycle for clinical research and drug development systems; 6 years of experience in Oracle databases, supporting delivery for design, development, implementation and support of consumer goods and services applications, learning management applications and life science research and development systems; 6 years of experience with Oracle Cloud Applications for life sciences research and development systems for critical drug development and analysis with key experience in design, development, implementation and supporting client facing roles and activities; and 5 years of experience in GXP System validation for 21CFR Part 11 compliant systems.
