The SAP BASIS Delivery Manager assumes overall responsibility for the delivery of SAP technical application services provided by Accenture for a specific Utility Client.  The BASIS Manager directs and manages a team of 10-15 BASIS Admins located in the Philippines Data Center, communicates with Accenture and Client management, and helps set technical direction and define technical strategy.

This position is vital to ensuring the overall availability and sustainability of a mission critical SAP landscape and its supporting applications.  The S/4HANA instance enables our client to support/provide power to customer base. An especially important aspect of this client-facing role is to manage the BASIS team workload and set client expectations. We have a demanding client and often time have aggressive timelines.

Communication is a critical skill required for success in this role.  The candidate must have the ability to compile large amounts of unstructured data, convert it into structured and organized information, and provide recommendation on how it can be acted upon.

The Philippines BASIS team works very flexible hours to support our US-based client who requires 24/7 on-call support. The BASIS Manager role is a balance between technical and administrative tasks; based on the technical team's workload, the Manager may be required to take on small projects. Travel is not normally required but may be requested for high priority efforts.

Qualifications

Required Skillset:

  • Experience Leading On/Offshore Teams, embracing cultural differences.
  • Candidate must have great communication and organization skills
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset
  • Team Lead/Managing Experience (5 years)
  • SAP BASIS Administration (7-10 years)
  • SAP HANA Administration (2-5 years)
  • Experience with Solution Manager modules (EWA, CHARM, etc)
  • Experience with SAP System Refresh
  • Project Planning for BASIS activities
  • Ability to manage team financials/budget

Responsibilities:

  • BASIS Team point of contact for Client IT Manager.  Accountable for BASIS team communications to/with Client including setting expectations, explaining delivery incidents, championing successes.
  • Build relationships with Client to ensure trust and credibility.
  • Serve as BASIS escalation point for serious issues/problems
  • Understand what our offshore BASIS team needs to be successful and positions them to deliver.
  • Working seamlessly with client BASIS team to ensure goals are aligned
  • Thorough understanding of process requirements related to operations management specific to client
  • Drive team to ensure compliance with operation policies (Change Control, Audit)
  • Thoroughly understand the SOX controls in place for the BASIS team
  • Supervise team members to ensure quality and timely delivery of work
  • Provides regular status to Accenture operation management and client management, ensure proper escalation to senior management/leadership.
  • Understands overall scope of project and how daily tasks align within the project structure/goals
  • Responsible for BASIS team meeting SLA’s defined with the project/client
  • Facilitating daily BASIS scrum meetings
  • Completes performance feedback for team members
  • Develop complex workplans/project plans for SAP BASIS projects (Support Packs, HANA Upgrade, etc.)
  • BASIS workplan review/approval
  • Assist junior team members in critical thinking, analysis and decision making
  • The ability to untangle conflated communication/data, redefine the situation as a set of distinct problems, explain how the problems may be related yet are distinct facets, and define a logical approach for addressing each facet in a way that solves the larger issue.

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Accenture provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is
