The Insurance Operations New Associate has the following responsibilities:

75% of the job - Prepare checks for deposit via virtual remit to the bank:

  • Open incoming mail containing checks

  • Identifying the correct line of business funds belong to which involves researching client information using the various processing systems as research tools. This includes identifying the correct policy number and the client

  • Preparing checks for virtual remit by ensuring they contain the clients account and corresponding company identifier as well as properly endorsing the checks

  • Utilize scanning equipment to scan the check images and any corresponding paperwork

  • Data entry in the bank’s application. After scanning the check images, the processor must confirm all data fields are filled and if not, data entry is required to complete the following fields check amount, check number, routing and account numbers

  • A second quality review is completed to review data fields and images prior to transmitting the funds to the bank

  • Transmitting the funds to the bank

20% of the job - ‘Traffic Cop’:

  • Indexing the bank lockbox feed work items via platform which includes determining the correct company code and admin system in order for the work to flow correctly to the downstream processing team

  • Monitoring of workflow and volume to ensure items are worked timely for downstream partners to complete their process and apply the client’s funds timely

  • Email downstream ‘New Business’ partners the volume received via the feed

  • Notify Accounting via email if item indexed routed incorrectly so funds can be moved to the correct company

  • Research items in the research queue to identify where the funds belong

5% of the job - Other duties:

  • Logging overnight mail received that contains checks into the overnight tracking system which resides in platform

*** Please note that this role requires the candidate to work onsite, Monday – Friday.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in an office environment

  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service and/or data entry experience


Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Experience using Microsoft Word and/or Excel

  • PC proficient which includes excellent keyboarding skills and the ability to successfully maneuver in multiple systems at one time

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds


Professional Skills:

  •  Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills which includes experience with composing thoughtful, factual emails

  • Ability to plan and organize work with minimal supervision

  • Customer service oriented

  • Ability to make sound judgments regarding daily activities

  • Must be able to determine when management involvement is required to ensure established deadlines are met


Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York or Washington as set forth below.
