The Publications Supervisor oversees the daily operations the technical writing and document research teams activities, including developing and monitoring work guidance and performance measures to meet department and client expectations while providing excellent customer service.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Manages the activities of the technical writing and document research teams
  • Manages team supervisors to complete varied and complex assignments involving provider notifications, bulletins, manuals, website management, and client materials
  • Acts as point of contact for other departments and State Customer to resolve problems regarding areas of responsibility and acts as in house consultant
  • May contribute to specific proposal efforts and management level presentations
  • Oversees supervisors management of personnel records, including new hire orientation, benefit administration, security administration, training arrangements, travel expense authorizations, salary and performance evaluations, terminations, etc.
  • Oversees the preparation of technical illustrations, design procedures, graphics, photography, and other printing. Ensures publications and design images meets mandated guidelines
  • Investigates and recommends implementation of new technology to meet changing needs
  • Oversees requests for bids, customer quotations, and purchase orders for vendors. Maintains budget forecasts, actuals, and reports on variances
  • Develops production standards and controls makes recommendations for improvements in overall production
  • Reviews existing publications for purpose of modifying, revising, and or rewriting
  


Qualifications

 Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of leading project teams
  • Minimum 1 year of operations process workflow experience

  • Technical Writing experience
  • Graphic Design experience
  • Content Management
  • Website Design
  • Knowledge of Healthcare industry
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience managing, coaching and mentoring staff
  • Experience working with brand or style guides
