Job Description:
 
Working as part of the global Accenture Technology Marketing & Communications team, this position is responsible for driving the marketing and communications strategy and programs for Accenture Technology’s positioning, including marketing for the Automation/AI Engineering practice (part of Intelligent Software Engineering Services), the Accenture myWizard platform and the ongoing transformation of Accenture’s technology workforce to:
 
Business focus areas
  • Position Accenture as an industry leader in emerging technologies, especially automation and AI and an authority on IT automation and intelligent systems.
  • Demonstrate how Accenture continuously evolves its technology talent and ways of working.
  • Help Accenture Technology grow (in reputation, revenue and market share) a range of services, spanning automation engineering, AI, RPA, testing and other related technology practices, working with business leadership to identify priorities.
Lead tactical marketing programs
  • Marketing strategy: Develop go-to-market plans and impactful marketing programs that support selling, buyer and influencer awareness and ecosystem partnerships.
  • Offering, asset and solutions marketing: Package and promote proprietary solutions, methods, tools and specialized physical locations and centers that distinguish Accenture in the market.
  • Industry analyst relations: Lead Accenture’s response to industry analyst inquires, prepare spokespeople and identify opportunities for proactive analyst communications and relationship building.
  • Events: Shape and execute Accenture-owned client and industry analyst events and briefings.
  • Digital marketing: Use digital marketing to drive strong share of voice and to position our senior business leaders. Quickly evaluate and capitalize on “moments” that support the communication objectives of the business. Support executive communications online, including writing and editing support for blogs and social media posts.
  • Alliance marketing: Position Accenture as an ecosystem power player in automation and data through events and conferences, digital marketing, sales materials and other co-marketing programs.
  • Success stories: Develop internal and external client success stories and facts/figures to quantify client and Accenture’s success and market leadership
  • Internal communications: Help the business communicate priority messages via internal publishing, webcast events, videos, and other employee and operational communications.
Marketing leadership expectations
  • Disrupt old ways of communicating by continually challenging our marketing team, agencies and business leaders to be at the forefront of Accenture’s visual and verbal brand style.
  • Collaborate with and rally marketing colleagues across our five businesses and geographic units to rollout programs and strategies across the company.
  • Be the standards bearer for strategic, accurate, consistent marketing messages across channels and programs.
  • Willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and provide tactical execution on marketing campaigns, events, asset development, etc. (not just managing, but doing).
  • Willingness to be an “in the scrum” team player who can switch gears to be responsive to the business, based on the priority of the day, week or month.

Role Requirements:

  • Role is expected to flex regularly between working out of Accenture office location, and working in a global, virtual environment.
  • Personal flexibility to travel where and when required, and to participate in virtual meetings outside of regular business hours to connect with business leaders in other time zones.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required prefer in Marketing & Communications, journalism or related
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technology industry marketing experience preferred
  • Previous executive communications experience highly desired
  • Excellent Digital, Social Media and PowerPoint skills

  • Demonstrated ability to turn complex ideas into stories and visual concepts easily understood by a broad audience
