Job Description:

 

Understand GU Life Safety standards and tactical plans for their geographic area of responsibility and support the planning, implementation and performance measurement of those standards; includes real estate evaluations, on-going Life Safety operations, support the build of business continuity plans and delivery center security manuals as needed. May also include

occupational health and security operations work.

 

Overall

Key responsibilities:

  • Understand Accenture’s corporate Life Safety standards
  • Be aware of approaches to responding to occupational health client data requests
  • Support the daily operations of the Life Safety function
  • As appropriate, support the Business (e.g., BPO, TGP) to ensure their Life Safety needs are met and the businesses are properly organized to adhere to standards and processes
  • Support the identification of opportunities for program and standards improvements, and work with the GU Life Safety leadership to develop and implement solutions and outcomes
  • Support crisis preparation and, when needed, crisis response
  • May direct the work of other Life Safety team members and/or other Workplace Solutions personnel

Chicago Metro Life Safety Coordination:

  • Manage, coordinate and execute Life Safety and Security Operations for all Chicago Metro locations, including Corporate and Non-Corporate locations
  • Provide backup support to Life Safety Specialist for NA Security Operations Center (SOC)
  • Responsible for proper implementation of NA Safety & Security standards and GAP initiatives for all Chicago Metro locations, including both Corporate locations and Non-Corporate locations
  • Coordinate the physical access control and badge operations for Chicago Metro and program security management in accordance with corporate policy
  • Responsible for timely updates and distribution of LMT, ERP and asset inventory for all Chicago Metro locations
  • Manage Chicago Metro life safety team and provide all necessary training
  • Conduct regular training and drills for Workplace and Life Safety Teams
  • Responsible for Chicago Metro security system hardware (Advent)
  • Assess and act as primary contact for all local security incidents and properly escalate incidents to local leadership, SOC lead and NA leadership and GAP
  • Act as primary liaison to landlord security supervisor and interact with local First Responders
  • Work with landlord to coordinate and support building evacuation drills
  • Participate as member of local LMT team
  • Maintain Accenture SOPs and Security vendor SOPs for Chicago Metro. Work with SOC lead to establish and maintain
  • Collaborate with local stakeholders (i.e. Workplace Solutions, Legal, HR) to ensure all security responsibilities are known and followed
  • Respond to Global Life Safety Annual Building Survey and support all local life safety and security audits
  • Daily review of security officer site review logs for Chicago locations. Action any items necessary
  • Meet regularly with SOC to discuss status of operations and address any issues
  • Responsible to maintain all BCM documentation and execute required processes to support implementation of BCM for Chicago Metro
  • Assist with SOC tasks and additional NA projects when needed

 

Basic Qualifications:
  • Associate´s Degree/College Diploma (±13 years)
  • Some College/Military Service or Certificates around Life Safety and Security
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with Access Control Systems, Ccure preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years of life safety and security operations experience
  • A minimum of 2 years experience with working with senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with CCTV Systems
  • Team Lead experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good oral and written skills
  • Military Background
  • Interaction with all levels of personnel
Professional Skills:
  • Ability to manage own workload and multitask
  • Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian

Role Requirements:

  • Will need to take after hours calls in some emergency situations related to office locations
