Job Description

Infrastructure Architects professionals demonstrate skills and specific experience in selecting, sizing, configuring and testing hardware infrastructure components, covering one or more of the Server, Storage and Network domains, and in estimating the required implementation effort and costs.

A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:
Identifies, assesses and solves complex business problems for area of responsibility, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Closely follows the strategic direction set by senior management when establishing near term goals.
Interacts with senior management at a client and/or within Accenture on matters where they may need to gain acceptance on an alternate approach.
Has some latitude in decision-making. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
Decisions have a major day to day impact on area of responsibility.
Manages large - medium sized teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture.

 

The Global Network Team Lead will help oversee the delivery of the network infrastructure service for a large outsourcing group within Accenture focused on high availability for mission critical application support. Team services an international client base with 6 Data Center locations in the US, APAC, and EMEA. Team is distributed across strategic international locations utilizing a follow the sun support model. A successful candidate has a proven track record leading diverse global teams in a mission critical, highly available, environment. Ensures that services are delivered in accordance with client expectations and service level agreements. Coordinates the delivery of services from the associated technical and service control teams, ensuring a cohesive, high quality operation manages numerous, complex projects requiring high level capabilities with minimal supervision.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:
 
Lead and support metrics for NSX, Check Point, and F5 solutions
  • Guidance and lead on routing and switching strategies
  • Provide ongoing support to client, performing troubleshooting and resolution of services impacting issues, as well as, applying requested changes and modifications to the existing environment.
  • Must know, understand and follow network management procedures and global security network policies
  • Management and control of network communication lines, firewalls and devices and must have a clear understanding of firewall security as it pertains to the Security Management Architecture
  • Lead configuration and deployment of network devices; and coordinates the installation and set up by providers of new communication lines/circuits.
  • Identification, prioritization, resolution / fulfillment of network incidents
  • Design and perform seamless upgrades of existing Management & Firewall infrastructure remotely and onsite
  • Operate in a team environment as well as self-directed
  • Operate and manage teams both on shore and offshore
  • Lead high performing cross boarder teams
  • Collaborates with other team members as necessary to ensure customer service levels agreements (SLA's) are met
  • Execute defined Enterprise System strategies to support corporate initiatives
  • Participate in 24x7x365 technical support
  • Work with Network Manager on tactical and strategic initiatives for the global network team
  • Mentor other support engineers on your team
  • Conduct mid-year and yearly reviews according to the Accenture's standard review process. 
  • Participate in forecasting 12-24 months in advance for required CapEx and OpEx needs, provide a yearly budget to leadership and manage to it.

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Information Technology Management and experience in Operations or a Delivery role.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing diverse global teams.

 

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Technical aptitude and broad IT experience with technology depth.
  • Extensive knowledge of varying Network technologies, including, but not limited to Check Point Next Generation Firewalls, F5, Cisco, and Arsista.
  • Experience in Service Delivery operation in a large enterprise or outsourcing provider knowledge exposure of the business sensitivity of an aviation services provider to network infrastructure related outages is highly desirable.
  • Strong customer and vendor relationship management skills.
  • Prior Service Delivery Management role
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with executive levels.
  • Ability to communicate at the client, senior leadership and business stakeholder levels.
