This developer is focused on managing the interchange of data between the application and the browser. This developer focuses on the server-side of programming for the web, yet also understands the programming languages, which control the display of content in the browser.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Work from defined requirements and be able to complete work under tight deadlines
  • Create/update, maintain and support Drupal 8 Base themes, and sub-themes
  • An understanding of developing in a web-based application stack (e.g. LAMP)
  • Strong knowledge of the Drupal content management system

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Drupal 8 and Drupal 7, including configuration management, automated testing and deployment, custom base theme development, custom sub-theme development, custom module development, key contributed modules and distributions, and the core API
  • Proficiency in TWIG template engine
  • Proficiency in Symfony Framework
  • Proficiency in using Bootstrap, SASS, GULP and other frontend development tools
  • Proficiency in using the Drupal theme API
  • Proficiency in PHP (ideally within a LAMP stack)
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (ideally with MySQL)
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and a familiarity with the major libraries
  • Proficiency in the maintenance and administration of Drupal modules and sites
  • Experience with the Unix/Linux command line

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Drupal 8, OOP PHP
  • Involvement in and contributions to the Drupal community
  • Familiarity with revision control systems such as Git
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • An understanding of W3C Web Standards
  • An understanding of Section 508 standards

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
