The Account Executive Senior Manager (BD) is accountable for expanding Accenture footprint of new technology services in digital, cloud, big data, enterprise applications, product engineering and application outsourcing within existing accounts and to lead the pursuit of new account openings with technology services offerings


The Account Executive Senior Manager (BD) will work to:

    • Identify new opportunity areas and buying centers, build relationships, ideate relevant offerings and solutions and lead the sales process end-to-end from ideation to closure
    • Develop new Client relationships and manage those effectively
    • Ability to nurture a lead and work with clients over time to build a strategic partnership
    • Expand our work in new areas of the client’s business through new offerings and services.
    • Manages the SOW & provides status updates to clients for the work sold
    • Forecasts and manages resource requirement optimally
    • Participating, designing, shaping and executing to the sales and revenue plans for the accounts they are responsible for and soliciting stake holder buy in

Key Responsibilities:

    • Shape, develop and execute strategy and plans for creating and expanding new buying centers for Accenture Technology Services
    • Develop new client relationships and expand existing relationships to drive Application Services Sales
    • Define core campaigns around Accenture offerings and executing the campaigns to generate new revenue opportunities
    • Provide advice on solutions to business requirements, and plan services to be delivered to users
    • Work closely with the client to identify business requirements, and define service requirements for new services
    • Work with the client and the NA Technology Delivery to commit to the scope of work, schedule, and cost for the work as a whole
    • Manage supply and demand, service quality, change orders, and recovery plans
    • Achieve Application Services sales net revenue and margin targets
    • Partner with Client Account Leads to drive incremental revenue growth through further expansion of footprint at client
    • Participate in Account planning and forecasting activities
    • Actively participate in developing the business plans for Application Services in their respective industry group

Basic Qualifications:

    • Minimum 10 years of sales experience and proven track record of achieving multi-million-dollar sales target in the consulting, systems integration and/or outsourcing segment selling solutions in the IT services industry with top tier global delivery service providers
    • Minimum of 5 years’ promoting new technology services in digital, cloud, big data, enterprise applications and application outsourcing
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience selling large deals in managed services, application outsourcing, outcome based service delivery and commercial models
    • Minimum of 5 years’ proven capability to building relationships with CXO/Director/VP/CTO business level client contacts
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Provider/Health Systems client verticals


Preferred Qualifications:

    • 4+ years’ of previous experience in any of the top IPPs with particular exposure to leveraging a similar model to drive growth Experience of working in a Global Delivery Model
    • Deep Account Management experience
    • Knowledge of industry specific products, services and solutions
    • Good understanding of industry specific business issues and drivers
    • Proven experience of rapidly growing an account
    • Hands-on experience with proposal/RFP creation and leading RFP/proposal presentations
    • Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
    • Wide variety of IT and business consulting engagement experience
    • Bachelors or MBA degree

Professional Skill Requirements:

    • Strong Interpersonal skills
    • Good understanding of the IPP competitive landscape
    • Ability to articulate Accenture’s value proposition to the client (educating the client about the efficiencies our tools and accelerators)
    • Package’ unstructured pieces of work into an outlined scope
    • Discuss contractual and commercial constructs of a deal and MSAs with a client
    • Ability to address small to mid-sized projects with technical proposals
