Finance professionals prepare and interpret financial plans and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable financial rules and regulations, including internal financial controls, to mitigate risk for the company. May also shape and execute client deals to maximize the use of Accenture's capital and resources, manage cash and/or liaise with the investor community.

Job Description
 
As part of the Accenture Finance Global Tax Group, Client Tax Matters (CTM) professionals work in a dynamic global team focused on providing tax expertise (tax research and planning advisory services) to Accenture’s client largest and most complex engagements.  Tax guidance includes advice on tax efficient contracting structures, transaction taxes, tax job costs and other tax compliance requirements. Specifically:
  • Assess risk levels of major deals and planning work/resources appropriately.
  • Meet with client deal teams and client/vendor tax department personnel as appropriate to negotiate tax aspects of major deals.
  • Draft and Negotiate contract terms.
  • Coordinate the tax planning and consequences of major deals with geographic tax leads and the employee tax team to ensure that all entity taxes and individual taxes are properly addressed.
  • Provide written and oral transaction tax guidance to internal Accenture business teams as it relates to client service agreements.
  • Meet with Accenture business and other finance teams to gather requisite information for comprehensive transaction tax guidance.
  • Review and validate compliance with internal Accenture tax policies and procedures.
  • Review client services agreements and advise on tax risk and cost mitigation strategies including both alternative contracting structures and additional terms and conditions.
  • Assist Accenture finance and business teams with usage of Global Tax Group (GTG) tax tools.
  • Coordinate and support Accenture Global Tax Group tax subject matter expert reviews of transaction tax issues.
  • Prepare appropriate tax documentation; present findings and recommendations to deal teams and other subject matter experts.
  • Manage strategic tax projects with other parts of the Tax group as necessary.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 6 years related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or JD preferred.

Professional Skills:

  • Outstanding teaming and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to identify and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to gather, assimilate, analyze and summarize information on Accenture transactions from multiple sources.  Specifically, read, analyze, and interpret tax and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Customer focused with ability to quickly respond to inquiries.
  • Effectively present/communicate tax technical topics to client engagement and finance teams.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Self-starter and ability to manage multiple ongoing tasks to completion.
